What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I write, direct and produce independent films, as well as work in various crew positions. I've been an actor since I was a kid. I spent 20 years playing music, put out a bunch of records and toured all over the U.S., Canada and Europe.
During the day I do home repair, remodeling and renovation.

Trying to be present. Trying to fully appreciate what is around me as opposed to the ideal in my head.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Trivial pursuit. Putting the brutal in brutal honesty, making friends for life, leaving parties without telling anyone, navigating, cooking middle eastern food, Johnny Cash karaoke.

Movies: so many films. I'm a film person. Let's talk about this over beers...

Music: all music is valid at some point and an appropriate soundtrack for some situation if written with honesty and soul. I have a saying: you cant fight to Al Green and you cant fuck to Slayer. Food: yes.

TV: no.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends, nature, health, freedom, purpose and a creative outlet.
I judge people on this question. If you list a bunch of material possessions we probably wouldn't get along.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My purpose and destiny. The duality of humans. Whether or not god exists. Songs, movies and stories I want to write.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" – Epicurus

“I know my friends not by their physical appearance but by their spirit. Consequently death does not seperate me from my loved ones. At any moment I can bring them around me to cheer my lonliness. Therefore, to me, there is no such thing as death in the sense that life has ceased...the inner or 'mystic' sense, if you will, gives me vision of the unseen...Here in the midst of everyday air, I sense the rush of ethereal rains. I am concious of the splendor that binds all things of earth to all things of heaven. Immured by silence and darkness, I possess the light which shall give me vision a thousandfold when death sets me free.” -Helen Keller

The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.- Longfellow

"How could there be any question of aquiring or possessing, when the one thing needful for a man is to BECOME- to BE at last, and to die in the fullness of his being- Antoine de Saint-Euxpery

"The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable; they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed." -Ernest Hemingway
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is nothing typical about my life.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
