Hey everybody. Looking for an interesting guy? I consider myself quite unique in mostly good ways. I have a wide range of interests, from music and video games to cooking and word games. Actually, I just like to do things. New things, random things, whatever. I'm fine with staying in and having a chill night sometimes, but I'd usually rather be out at a show or getting food or drinks or bowling or something.

I love the music scene. I like going to shows of all kinds. I go to lots of Twins games, and I will always cheer for my hapless Vikings. I like to play sports too, I play kickball once a week with friends (which turns into game night in the winter), and I used to play rugby for the U.

I traveled a lot growing up (43 states 9 countries) and that's something I'd like to get back into. I've been all over the world but I've never wanted to live anywhere but here. Minnesota makes me happy.

I work a lot right now, which is good and bad. I like my job, but honestly it's just a job. It's what I do to be able to afford things that I enjoy doing. Speaking of affording things, I just got a new car and I love it! I'd forgotten that driving can be fun.

I'm good at card games, scrabble, quick math, and ultimate frisbee.
I've also become good at cooking. My jambalaya is incredible.

I can be a little quiet, especially around people I don't really know. However I warm up quickly. I'm the guy that squeezes in a few hilarious comments in between the nonstop noise coming out of most people's mouths. I do fine with one on one conversation, but I'm never the loudest one in a group.

Music is very important to me. I'll listen to just about all music (except country) but rock is my favorite: Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Doors, Pearl Jam, Guns n' Roses, Pink Floyd, Primus, Fugazi, Clutch, Beck, Queens of the Stone Age, Rage, the Allman Brothers, the Rolling Stones, Phish and the Dead, to name a few of my more common influences. Really into Minus the Bear right now.

Some less common bands that I like: Man or Astro Man?, Oceansize, J Church, Story of the Sea.

I also love the jazz station (88.5) and Pandora Radio. And if you haven't tried Grooveshark, do it.

If you don't listen to the same music as me, don't worry about it. I don't think that liking the same media is a necessary link in a relationship and it's a little silly to have a section for it in your profile. But it's something to talk about, I guess.

I really don't read enough anymore, which is too bad. I do like science fiction. My favorite book is probably Dune. I do enjoy reading the Onion.

Movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Happy Gilmore, Shawshank, Lebowski, Star Wars (the originals), Crimson Tide, Red October, Spinal Tap, South Park, most kung fu and anything by Mel Brooks.

Shows: Classic Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, Sopranos, the Wire, Lost, Sealab, Space Ghost, cool documentaries.

Good food makes me happy. Specifically, spicy food makes me happy. I will eat anything at a restaurant that claims to be spicy just to prove that it isn't. I like Pad Thai, Creole, large burritos, large steaks, sushi, seafood, and really anything exotic or anything I haven't tried. I love the variety of restaurants in Minneapolis.

Sometimes at work. (sigh) Otherwise hanging with my people. I have the best group of friends. When I go out I like low-key places with good music. I don't like to dress up and I don't like most places downtown. Too expensive with bad tunes and shitty people, for the most part.
