My self-summary
I am a 28 year old small business owner who is incredibly over-educated in disciplines that I do not use at all in my small business. I am a creator/artist in training/practice and there is no notepad in the world that can hold all of my ideas (sidenote: I attempt them all, but complete no more than half). I love being outside and enjoying nature. I love to hike and camp as much as possible. I hate stupid people. Not people who are unintelligent, but people blinded and guided by ignorance. I don't like people who are overzealous with their beliefs and enforce them on others. I want to believe in dragons. I am clumsy. I like to think I don't have any enemies (there may be some out there though I can't imagine why). I think kids are amazing and I wish I could enjoy anything in life as much as a child seems to---getting older seems to make people depressing and cynical. I am occasionally cynical. I enjoy going to see live music whenever I can and I often travel for a good show and I usually end each summer with wrists full of cloth bands of assorted colors. Lately all of those seem to say staff/vendor.
What I’m doing with my life
Sipping coffee and staring longingly at the framed MA degree on my wall that is beginning to collect dust. Currently working a few jobs to pay off the debt from the aforementioned degree and summertime traveling the country selling my artwork at different music and art festivals with the small art and clothing business I started while in grad school. Has been a blast being able to present and sell things that I design/create. So unbelievably rewarding and I've only been creating for the past two years.
I’m really good at
I feel I'm a pretty good writer, a decent dancer, a solid outdoorsman, a strong enthusiast for the world of arts and crafts, a skilled SET player (best game ever), an eccentric imagineer, a lover of anything silly, and I have been known to pontificate extensively on just about anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am usually smiling.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't read as much as I should. That being said I just finished Inherent Vice and want to read more Pynchon. Working through Blood Meridian and I have some Bukowski xmas gifts that seem to be in my near future.

Movies--Shawshank, Gump, Wet Hot American Summer, Bill and Ted's, A River Runs Through It, Blues Brothers, All Mighty Ducks, Ninja Turtles, Back to the Future, and Indiana Jones movies. Also the Usual Suspects, the Game, anything Mel Brooks, all Charlie Kaufman, Wes Anderson is awesome, most Kubrick, the Goonies, and many many more. My favorite christmas movie is a tie between Bad Santa and Gremlins.

TV--lot of nonsense on there. My dvr likes good comedies with no laugh track, gritty dramas on hbo and amc, and the daily show

Music wise I can basically stand anything up to a point. I love music that gets me dancing and moving. I like electronic, rock and some bluegrass and funk but the list of my favorites has so many more artists on it that it would be silly to name. Top 40 is garbage and if only listen to that then you haven't listened to much.
The six things I could never do without
1. Car/capacity to just go on a whim (not leave it all behind so to speak, but I go on a lot of spontaneous road trips)
2. Good music
3. Being silly
4. Laughter/humor
5. Warm sunshine
6. A medium to write upon
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why they don't bring back that awesome game "the incredible machine" that was on windows 95. Also I think about whether having wings would be as awesome as it seems. Wouldn't it get uncomfortable sleeping under covers with the kind of wings that would be necessary to pick you up off the ground? Also destroyed clothes would be a whole problem.
On a typical Friday night I am
Could be working, could be going out, either way I am probably alive.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been a vegetarian for two and a half years and I feel great about it (not really so private)

^^Exception to this was last year where I spent over a month in Ecuador where I was not so vegetarian. Really impossible down there but I was able to see the actual animals being raised and slain for the food I was eating which is fine by me. It is the dissassociation of people and grocery purchasing from actual food processing in the states that sickens me. No longer a cow or chicken, only a steak or plate of wings. Vegetarian while back here.^^
You should message me if
If you have a childlike sense of wonder and can enjoy your own silliness.
