Thanks for taking the time to visit.

First, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member." :O) (Groucho). Seriously, though, I'm an honest, fun-loving, passionate, compassionate, sincere, hard-working, kind and active guy with lots of integrity. Have a great sense of humor and love people who do, as well. Thrive on meaningful dialog and am committed to personal growth. Really enjoy the peace of the outdoors and the energy of city life. Love: creating a pleasant environment in which to live, travel, reading just about anything, the beach. live music, dancing and being affectionate. I value consciousness, kindness, integrity, optimism and social justice. I feel life is precious and should be enjoyed to the fullest. I deeply value spirituality and love all that life has to offer! I am currently separated, but am in the process of being divorced, though my marriage, as I would have liked it to be, was over some time ago.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living my un-lived life, honoring myself and others, evolving, trying to be the best person I can possibly be. Love what I do and having my own business. Trying to be with family and friends as much as possible. Trying to find that ever-elusive chemistry with the right partner. All sorts of things that keep me fit as I've been athletic all my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a great Dad, a great friend, a good Samaritan, socializing, listening, conversing, giving people a chance/finding the good in everyone, giving an honest opinion, being intuitive, affectionate, anything involving athletics, being pretty darn goofy at times, present, attentive and very much involved when in a loving relationship.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My ruggedly handsome looks??? I don't know ... how attentive I am, my likeability, how honest, passionate and compassionate I am. My eyes. How well I listen. That I love to have fun, tell lame jokes and laugh a lot, that I can also be quite serious, that I'm engaging, authentic, fit, real ...

Good Lord, this is impossible. I like to read everything: Classics, biographies, anything by David Sedaris, John Sanford, Robert Johnson, Bill Bryson. Recently, "The Looming Tower: chilling. Anything having to do with self-knowledge, the human condition, politics, economics, music, art, baseball. Just finished "Team of Rivals"; Abe Lincoln has to be the greatest American man ever! Movies I have really enjoyed include: Casablanca, Cuckoo's Nest, Chinatown, Godfather, Airplane, Annie Hall, Monty Python, Big Night, Life is Beautiful, On the Waterfront, Z, The Birds, Rear Window, Gump, As Good as it Gets, My Cousin Vinny, Goodfellas, Philadelphia, Birdman, etc. ... . Love all kinds of music and LOVE live music (which I don't see enough lately). Anything from Sinatra to Ella to Sara Vaughan to Duke Ellington. Gershwin, Porter, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Band, Van Morrison, Roy Orbison, Talking Heads, Mark Knopfler, Chrissie Hynde, Los Lobos, Paul Simon, Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, Sinead O'Connor; the Blues (Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker), Jazz ; there is SO much great music out there! Absolutely LOVE Italian food, seafood, Mexican, Thai, Good ol' American fare; I'll try and eat anything (even asparagus!).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My two daughters, my family, friends, exercise/hot shower, intimacy, the outdoors, great coffee and reading material. travel, hope, love ...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lots of things: my family, relationships, whatever became of civility, how to make myself a better person, how lucky I am to have reached a point in my life where I actually do realize just how lucky I am, the unconscious, what makes someone decide to become a Republican ... and worse, remain one (!), what it's going to take to get us to actually do something about the mess we've created, travel, nice vacations, sweet, open-minded and compassionate people, why so many people are addicted to technology and don't live in the moment, how exciting being with a special someone will be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends. Could be out with friends for dinner and drinks, or crashing at home after a long week watching a movie, reading or listening to some nice music. Otherwise, could be walking on hot coals, bungee jumping, sky diving, being shot out of a cannon (my personal favorite!); pretty much the same stuff we're all doing :O)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are caring, your family comes first, you are fun, funny, bright, beautiful both inside and out (at least to me!), compassionate, kind, loving, energetic, fit, passionate and involved, grounded, respectful, honest, not pretentious or arrogant, a good friend, and empathic. If you feel quality is much more important than quantity, have integrity, and ... what you have read here resonates with you and feel we just might connect.
