My self-summary
So I'm a liberal, feminist, nerd, musician, cyclist, getting into vegetarian cooking and I have a fondness for plaid shirts. Turns out I'm basically a stereotypical city dwelling Hipster. I promise I'm not an insufferable douchbag, honest!

(Also I feel the need to clarify, I put down feminist to fight the fact that the word has become synonymous with "man hating", not because I think it will get me more ladies -_-)
What I’m doing with my life
Currently a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Liverpool; I love to learn and these suckers are paying me to do it! When I'm not doing that, I'm learning to draw. I am also trying to pick some basic Japanese, because reasons.
I've also been getting into cooking recently, on account of now having my own kitchen.
I’m really good at
Guitar I guess, I've been playing for long enough. I actually got a perfect score on one of my guitar exams.

Oh, and self deprecation!
The first things people usually notice about me
I actually polled my friends about this, and the most common answer was my facial hair, apparently it's quite distinctive.

My facial hair has been compared to such greats as:
- King Charles I
- Errol Flynn
- Johnny Depp

So if you consider at least one of the above persons to be particularly alluring, well then I may just be the one for you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
- The house on the Borderland - William Hope Hodgson
A really atmospheric weird fiction tale in the vein of H.P Lovecraft.
- A scanner darkly - Phillip K Dick.
I like classic sci-fi, and Phillip K Dick in particular. This one isn't really that sci-fi but I like it as it is one of Dick's most personal works. (The movie is pretty good also).

Film:
- Brick.
A really well done neo-noir movie. Also I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
- Drive.
I love it cause it's a really well done & styling crime movie with an awesome electo soundtrack.
- Mobile Police Patlabor 2: The Movie. The other atmospheric & arty animated movie about robots by Oshii Mamoru.

Music:
Tortoise, Toro Y Moi, Slint, Kayo Dot, Miles Davis, Gustav Holst, Debussy, Herbie Hancock & Squarepusher to name a few.

Manga
-Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko. I have all volumes of the manga even though they are in Japanese, so I can't read them. The art is that good IMHO. It gives me a incentive to learn Japanese anyway.
- Nausicaa of the valley of the wind.

Anime
Haibane Renmei, Kaiba, Cowboy Bebop, Eve no Jikan just to name a few.

Video Games:
I'm a pretty avid gamer, have been ever since I was little. Most of my gaming is on my PS3 as of late, been getting quite into Demon's Souls.

Shows:
A toss between "Venture bros" or "Adventure time", of the ones I follow at the moment. I am also one of those insufferable people who recommends "The wire" to people at parties.
The six things I could never do without
- My guitar
- Moments of peace and quiet
- Pizza
- Animal buddies
- Art galleries.
- Lie ins
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What living with synaesthesia is like. That must be pretty cool.
On a typical Friday night I am
Pub with friends, or watching a movie at home. I KNOW THAT'S NOT VERY EXCITING BUT SHUT UP WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE????????? 0_O.

If you have some better ideas on how to spend a friday night, why not message me, and we'll make plans ;). However, sitting at home with a good movie and a hot cup of something is pretty hard to beat, not gonna lie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know what R.A.C.K & S.S.C stand for. That may or may not be a very subtle hint.

(If you think the idea of tying up guys with rope is hot at hell, that may or may not be a point in your favor. That's the unsubtle hint)
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–29
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
- You like the youtubers "Super best friends" as much as I do. My reasoning is that my best friend is also super into them, so it would stand to reason that I would get along with you too.
- You can recommend some killer Vegetarian recipes.
