My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm glad you stopped by :) Here's some things about me:

- I just graduated from a master's program, and am now a nurse practitioner (kind of like being a physician assistant or doctor), and will be starting soon in my first job as an NP (yay!) working with at-risk kids.

- I have a dog named Mr. Biscuits, who is the sweetest little beagle a feller could want :)

- I try to keep a daily meditation practice, and recently am so into Brenee Brown, Compassionate Communication, and the ilk.

- Ultimately, what I want is someone who can share deeply without losing themselves, who can communicate their needs clearly and compassionately, who can challenge me on my path, and who wants to be challenged on theirs.

- I was raised in a community of progressive folks centered around a feminist bookstore (Charis Books, in Atlanta) where my mom worked.

- If we hang out, I will mostly be curious about how compatible we are as friends. This, I find, makes it easier to meet people without any expectations.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Gearing up for my doing what I've always been passionate about... helping folks at risk, especially kids. Learning more about the art of communication and intimacy.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing (contra, waltz, swing, you name it), exploring the area, hiking, swimming (I'm lucky enough to have a pool), traveling, being a goof, making fun adventures :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Communicating about things that matter.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall. Also, real nice :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

So, here's a list of books I liked that are indicative of some my interests:

Omnivore's Dilemma, or what we could gain by stepping out of the industrial [food] system.

The Prophet - Kahlil Gibran is amazing. Every page has a quote worthy of years of contemplation.

Barbara Kingsolver's Poisonwood Bible. It took a while to get going, but boy did it get there. I'll not try to summarize in one sentence.

Paul Farmer: Mountains beyond Mountains. Let me just say that Paul Farmer is my personal Jesus.

Guns, Germs, and Steel - A fascinating look at some of the driving forces behind the last 10,000 years of human history.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog :)
Delicious food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What kind of fun I want to plan for the evening or weekend.

How to lead the life I want to lead - to be the person I want to be. What I would do if I was looking back on my life 50 years in the future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooking a big dinner with my friends, cleaning up a big dinner with my friends, dancing, cuddling, movie-watching, etc . . . getting ready for a fun hike on saturday?
