I am quiet, sweet, and French.

My Self-Summary

I like white lilies. Bring me lots of it. I like maple syrup too. And watermelon. I lived in the UK and the US for a little while. I'd like to go back. I like international people. I like to travel. I like writing letters. I like reading books. I'd like to write one. I like watching stupid American TV shows. Don't try to stop me. I like Paris. I hate Paris. I hate guys who take themselves seriously. Honestly, it's not sexy at all.

What I’m doing with my life

Looking for a job. Yeah, like soooo many others. Can't even seem to find something basic. Although I didn't try McDonald's yet... that would be hitting rock bottom though.

I’m really good at

Humming songs that get stuck in my head; crying while watching stupid movies / series; being a girl (painting my nails, buying handbags, that kind of stuff)

The first things people usually notice about me

No idea. You should let me know.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Aaaah, the usual question. Well, as I make my way through life, it changes, because people change, you see. Meaning, this is hard to say, but I'll try.

My favorite book used to be Dune by Frank Herbert, but that was ages ago. Since then, I loved Zadie Smith's On Beauty, Shakespeare's plays, and lately books by Fred Vargas.

Movies
David Cronenberg (especially the early weird flesh-obssessed movies), Wes Anderson, Tim Burton, Michel Gondry, Woody Allen... and stupid American romantic comedies (despite the fact that I'm almost always disappointed by the ending, I keep watching them)

Music
used to be mostly rock/indie, like Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Camera Obscura, Blur, Belle & Sebastian, Dandy Warhols, the Shins, Death Cab, The Strokes (this is completely random). Still is, but other genres grew on me. For example, I went to the States and discovered that not all of hip hop and r'n'b is crap. I also discovered Orishas, that I listen to a lot. Then I traveled to Turkey and got into Balkan music: Balkan Beat Box, Shantel, Miss Platnum... I also listen to what you might call very girly music like Coldplay, John Mayer, Emiliana Torrini, Keren Ann. I also love oldies like Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, CCR, Woodstock and all that... the Vietnam war soundtrack, if you like. And the Beatles obviously, the Kinks, the Who, the glorious days of Swinging London. And soul music, Candi Staton, Al Green, Ann Pebbles, Otis Redding. And Césaria Evora. And Pink Martini. And also some electro, like Miss Kittin, Fujiya & Miyagi, Junior Boys, I am Jen, Psapp, Roÿksopp, Sascha Funke, Goose... I could go on and on.

Food
All except Lebanese, for some reason. Not that I hate it, but I find there's too much oil and chickpeas.

Was that too long?
