Exercise is an important part of my life (although I don't do enough of it), and I have competed in martial arts for most of my life, although now i'm getting into running as well. I grew up on a mountain in Richmond, VT, so hiking is something I enjoy casually but not so much for fitness. I have also worked with athletes as a strength and conditioning coach, nutritioninst and wellness coach.
I place a very strong emphasis on learning. I don't ever want to stop being a student in some capacity (whether in school, or on my own). I'm at least conversational in most academic disciplines, but philosophy and exercise science are my two strongest fields.
I also greatly enjoy film as an art form, and enjoy reading as well (although, again, i don't do enough of it). I am almost done writing my first novel, which was a phenomenal experience, and look forward to writing the next.
I was in a band a very long time ago. The only effect that has on me now, besides fond memories, is a love of singing in the car. I usually tone it down around other people though.
For school, I went to a top five world ranked undergrad program for philosophy. I love philosophy because it means "the love of wisdom" and that's me.
The right person for me is smart, funny, and down to earth. All three are critical.
Anything else, just ask!
