My self-summary
"I was a young boy that had big plans, now I'm just another shitty old man." - Green Day - "The Grouch"

That is a good way to sum up my life to this point in a nutshell. And yes, I'm a total dork for quoting things from movies/music. Especially stuff I can relate to.

I've been through more than my fair share of ups and downs in life, but I try and stay positive about things.

I am thoughtful, calm, and caring

What I’m doing with my life
Not much at the moment... my back has been screwed up for the last few months, and I'm still trying to figure out why. Prior to that I was going to college with the intention of becoming a doctor and eventually going into research in Neuropsychopharmacology.

That wasn't always my dream though... I've been through a variety of career options, trying to figure out where I'm the happiest. Last time around I was going after a career in journalism, as I consider myself somewhat of a writer.

I also work on film stuff on the side. And have been doing so for the last several years. From writing, directing, acting, producing... etc. It's something I'll always enjoy, even though I doubt it will ever turn into a serious career.

I’m really good at
I don't really consider myself "good" at much of anything, I just try and find things I don't suck at that much. But people have told me I'm a good writer, so I guess I'd consider that my best skill.

The first things people usually notice about me
I dunno. I guess most people notice that I'm just different than the norm. And I do consider myself a bit of a non-conformist. I don't really try and be unique, but I guess I just am.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Heavier than Heaven (Kurt Cobain's official biography), Rant (and pretty much everything else by Chuck Palahniuk), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (loveHunter S. Thompson) I also enjoy my fair share of graphic novels... V for Vendetta, Watchmen, The Dark Knight, and Sin City to name a few (love Frank Miller and Alan Moore's writing). I enjoy biographies, sci-fi, and have recently gotten into Philosophy.

Movies: Clerks (and everything else Kevin Smith has ever done), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Donnie Darko (Richard Kelly is a genius writer too), there really are just too many movies I love to list... pretty much anything by Quentin Tarintino, Stanley Kubrick, Robert Rodriguez, Bryan Singer, Terry Gilliam... and the list goes on and on... movies are a big part of my life, I mostly like Independent Films, Comedies, Documentaries, and horror (especially Zombie movies)... but I'll pretty much watch anything and everything.
Music:Nirvana,Green Day, MSI, The Used, and Foo Fighters are my all time favorites. But I like a ton of different bands... The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Coheed and Cambria, Weezer, My Chemical Romance... and that list goes on forever too... I mostly stick with rock, which I define as a pretty big genre, but much like film, I'll listen to just about anything.

Food: I'm not very picky. If it's edible, then I'll probably eat it.

TV: Not that they ask, and I don't watch a whole bunch of TV... but I have serious obsession with House, haha. Favorite TV of all time, hands down. Other noteworthy shows would include Californication, Daria, South Park, Scrubs, Intervention and a few others I can't think of at the moment. I like Hockey and Football too, and am pretty much glued to the TV during the playoffs.

Also, I love stand up comedy... especially Mitch Hedberg. He was the best... and will be dearly missed.

The six things I could never do without
1. Medication (a hernated disc in my back has had me in chronic pain for the last four-five months, so yeah, thats number 1, haha)
2. My Best Friends... I've only really got about 4 of them, but I dunno what I'd do without them, they mean the world to me.
3. Entertainment... which pretty much covers all movies, music, books, tv, etc...
4. Video Games. I've been a gamer since the age of 2, and nothing will ever change that.
5. The internet. For the most part most of it sucks, but for research proposes it's the greatest thing in the world.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future... which is really up in the air right now... it looks like my back injury was more than likely caused by an underlying pathology that hasn't yet been figured out... so who knows where my life might take me.
