** Obsessed with beards, baseball hats and tattoos **

Texas gal living it up in the city and trying to find her way in life. I work hard, play hard and have a great time with some really awesome friends. A little therapy and some introspection are constants in my life that keep me sane. I like my independence and don't mind being alone. I like a challenge but am often too hard on myself. I don't judge people but do have certain expectations. Friends would claim that I am outgoing, loyal and dedicated. I will also admit to being pretty neurotic about certain being somewhere on time, my DVR, and the organization of my closet (helllooo--short sleeves and long sleeves do not co-mingle). I absolutely HATE fake people; just don't even waste my time. I have a thing for cleaning and organizing and you will most often find me doing those things when I am stressed. I can't stand people that don't have any sort of work ethic: I don't care what you do and I don't judge, but do it like you mean it.

I was once told that I have 'biting sarcasm'...and I took it as a compliment. I enjoy a great sense of humor laced with wit and intelligence. Laughing is in my nature but I can also be serious when the situation calls for it. But I am definitely the first to laugh at myself (for some reason I am one of those people that trips and falls a lot) and really try not to take things too seriously.

I am an Air Force brat so I adapt easily to change and typically on the move. I like stability to a point but tire easily with the mundane and the boredom that typically follows. I am a sagittarius...wanderlust and blame the stars.

I have opinions and voice them but am willing to always listen to the other side. I can be feisty about the things I like and want but not to the point of exclusion. A lot of times I am called ‘one of the guys’ but can be quite girly as well. (High heels are a girl’s best friend!)

I am trying my hand at running and biking and actually thoroughly enjoy it! I also love to fish! I can sit for hours and I still get excited every single time I catch something. (Sticks and turtles included) I also love to travel. I love the history and experiences of new things. I lived in Europe for three years and would jump at the chance to live there again. I already have my NYC and beach trips booked for the summer. I might also have to admit to enjoying the movies and reality TV. (I am an Amazing Race fan) I love my Spurs and Cowboys. (Yes, I said Cowboys) I enjoy a good Irish bar and when the mood strikes I love to dance---80s are always a good way to go. And I love me a good board game!

I am looking for someone to challenge me mentally and physically. I want to find a co-explorer and adventurer...there is a ton of stuff I want to learn about, try and experience. I need someone I can rely on and trust...this is a big one for me...honesty will get you a long way in my book. I like responsible people but don't need someone so serious. Lighten up and have fun!! I usually pass on the ‘class clown’ types and prefer quick wit and an endearing personality. I firmly believe in mutual respect and understanding; I am not perfect and I need my guy to realize he isn’t perfect either. (Well, unless you are Ed Norton…I am pretty sure he is perfect) I love my family and they are a part of my life and prefer someone to enjoy those moments with me. And I totally don't mind dating someone with kids..but you can't right me off simply because I don't have any of my own.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living large and enoying it! I am happy with where I'm at in my life and but I am also in constant search for the next challenge and adventure. I swirl around in the government contracting world. I work for a good company and with some great people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Noting the obvious and being slightly sarcastic about it.
Driving my badass Jeep. I WILL run you over.
People watching with quippy commentary.
Making pop culture references in my conversations.
Not going to bed early; I am a night owl.
Getting freckles love it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have been told that it is my smile and eyes. But I like to think it is also my humor and intelligence. I can be kinda shy when people first meet me (though my friends would argue this description of myself) but you would probably never know it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I feel like this section is better served in good conversation (and can be a long list of things) but here is a summary:
TV: Vikings (hubba hubba hubba), Six Feet Under (I love you, Nate Fisher), Happy Endings, Boss, Californication, Girls, East Bound & Down, Top Chef, Boardwalk Empire, Hannibal and anything on the History channel.
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Rocky (and God forbid if I hit a marathon running on TV), Casino, The Hangover, Breakfast Club (it's my era), uh, and anything with Ryan Gosling.
Music: Keane, Snow Patrol, Gotye, Depeche Mode, Death Cab, KoL, Katy Perry (yeah, sorry, you will just have to suck it up), Linkin Park, Muse, Phoenix, some rap and never country!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Diet coke, android, sunshine, lip gloss, music and my DVR. And let's be honest, I can totally do without these things but just prefer not to!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game. to empty my head of the 1,000 thoughts that are swirling around in it.
...if Ancient Aliens really existed. I learned to type without a single typing class.
...and oh yeah, world hunger, poverty and the health of the Nation
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a go-to Friday night. I could be at a chick flick with my sister. I could be sitting at the bar at my local. I could be on a weekend trip to the beach. I could be on the couch watching the History channel. I could be trolling the popular city spots with my girlfriends. Or sometimes, I just sleep...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a variation of a beard! I love them!

You are really are looking for something more and don't play games to get it. Just be upfront about what you are looking for.

You can handle a slightly bossy and yet thoughtfully sweet woman with a healthly dose of sassiness. I don't do well with super nice guys.

You have the time to actually give. I'm not needy but I can't deal with someone who is always too busy to hang out.

You have interesting things to share and show me. Sharing and doing fun things together will make me like you more.

You can deal with a girl that is not a size 2. I rock with what I got. aren't married or have a significant other. The power of google makes hiding this difficult. So don't try that game on me.

Where did people's manners go? I give you my time and interest and you should have respect for that. I am sensitive and it hurts my feelings to be used for entertainment. If that doesn't work for you, then you don't work for me.
