Here is a little bit of what you are looking at: A lover of Jazz and Blues music circa 1920's through the 1970's. Sports cars and motorcycles, skiing and diving. Exploration of things at the visceral and creative edges of life. Also the uncomplicated, contemplative things. Books and films, Midwestern summer thunderstorms on the Lake Michigan shore which is home. So I actually do take the requisite "long walks on the beach at sunset," usually being dragged by a border collie. I prize authenticity (is that you?) I am quiet, but with a fanged sense of humor. I had the extraordinary privilege of growing up in 1960's Ann Arbor, then Hawaii, then California. A teenager, but I took full advantage of the circumstance and the experience defined me like college defines most people and left me rich with stories. Which makes it all the more ironic to come here and describe myself all these years later in language and photographs that can't help but conjure "Middle-age, middle-class, middle west." Pretty damn boring, what happened? A closer view will point up the more interesting discrepancies. I still look for things out of the mainstream, and have traveled a lot to find them (all over the USA and Europe, plus Russia, Central America, Cuba and the Caribbean). A very young 60, a gentleman always, but devilish. And not hard to look at.

I work hard and try to enjoy life. And of course I'm hoping to find a nice girl.
