My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like cheap cars, secondhand jeans, good surf, and expensive whiskey.

I've always wanted to be myself when I grow up.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Running a business with a friend, which has me doing everything from business administration to artisanal metalworking. Every day is a new challenge, but I still get to play hooky when I feel like it.

If there's good waves or good company to be had you won't find me at work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
It's an even tie between cooking and fixing cars. And one time I succeeded in combining the two by jamming some tinfoil-wrapped italian sausage in between the manifolds of my old diesel Mercedes before taking a drive up to Santa Barbara. Sounds weird and potentially dangerous, but the end result was quite good.

I'm really bad at:
Remembering where I left things like my phone or keys (or my entire car, as one friend astutely pointed out), eating a proper breakfast (it usually ends up being a rockstar on the way out the door), and of course I am more or less incapable of waking up early. All the best fun is at night though, right?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Everyone has something to say about my hair. It's everything from people in passing cars yelling GET A HAIRCUT as I walk down the street, to strangers walking up to me at gas stations and asking to touch it. It's like wow my eyes are down here, pig.

And now people have gone so far as to specifically mention it in my shop's yelp reviews.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Oryx and Crake (Margaret Atwood), Hemingway, Anthony Bourdain, Freakonomics

Music: I've been on a girly pop music kick all week, with The Bird and The Bee, Regina Spektor, Yelle, Serebro, Dragonette, and STRFKR dominating the lineup.

Shows: I'm not currently following any shows, but if it means junk food and blanket forts I'm totally into that show you love to binge on netflix.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
six things that actually live in the backpack that goes everywhere with me: change of clothes just in case, passport, netbook, swingtop water bottle, grid paper notebook, and a comically large set of headphones. I don't know that all this stuff is necessary, but it's what goes everywhere with me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Is there anything better than french fry pizza?

How long would it take for me to eat my own weight in pudding? Would I hate pudding forever afterwards? If I molded it in the shape of myself would that be weird?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Gallavanting around North Hollywood and migrating downtown to show new friends around the city and reassure them that it's not the end of the world when they're puking in a gutter on 8th street. And then getting taco bell.

*I've decided this section should be 'what I did on the most recent friday when I wrote this' because it's really frustrating to read 'dunno lol no such thing as typical friday hehe'
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pet wandering mystery cats with no regard for toxoplasmosis.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a fan of outings where the planning consists of 'let's do a thing' and winging it from there. I'd rather make things up as I go than waste time making plans.

You self-describe as nerdy, and will still humor me when I only know a little bit about the particular video games and tv shows you're into.

You want to go surfing with me!

When it comes to fun, you roll your own.
