My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have been on this site before. But that profile and the answered questions were of an older me. So if you have a faint recognition, you could be right.

For my summary: I'm generally driven by (gut)feeling. I'm not very stressed or stuck in the circles that life can have. I have not got an emotional fence around me, but can be a bit inaccessible on first encounter, because I first have to be comfortable with someone before opening up entirely.

I cannot lie and have no secrets. This can both positive and negative.

In the winter I am more practical than in the summer. In summer I am solar powered and can be very impulsive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I like to go to music festivals in the summer, and to concerts when it's not that warm. But I can also enjoy walking through woods or the dunes for hours. Or engange in some boardgame activity. I ought to be picking up photography again and get to learn a music instrument. If you want to know why I didn't, just ask.

Four days a week I'm a system architect. Which kind of is when some not-so-technical person says "I want this" regarding something with servers. And I'm the one that must make their exact technical wishes clear (detective), write a plan, implement it, give training, fix things with suppliers and solve third line problems. Not your casual nerd, but something like a product manager, support person, negotiator and nerd in one. I wouldn't want it any other way. Diversity is good for anti-boreout.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting the essence out of things. Making perfectly normal remarks which people see as 'dirty'. Humming my own tune and start dancing in a super market. Noticing small things nobody notices at first.
The first things people usually notice about me

Tall, dreads, not your average john doe.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Are for learning. I do not like to read (yet) for relaxation.

Movies: Anything David Lynch, thrillers with a good plot. I do NOT like those movies that have posters with only text and people with no background: those are horrible 'romantic comedies'. Nice dialogs and darker humor are good too.

Music: Nearly anything that touches my soul in one way or the other. I cannot live without music. At this moment I quite often listen to Intergalactic Lovers, Steak number eight, Vicky, Netherlands chambre choir, Akelei (dutch doom metal), Black sun empire (drum and bass) and Alcest. But I like gothic industrial, classical, pop, rock, singer songwriter, (english) house, metal (not the leather jacket style), psytrance. Just a long as it moves me.

Food: Veggies and herbs! I love Indian, Indonesian, Thai and Chinese. The more pure and herby/spicey the better. But I have to taste the actual ingrients. So doing ad fundum on a pot of sambal: no.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, music, time to reflect on myself, hugs, being understood and proper food/drinks. Did I mention hugs?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why we deserve to posses so much. How one person can own so much goods, materials. If the world today is focussing on buying things to get happy while they instead should do some introspection and come to the conclusion what actually makes one happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no typical friday night. It could be at home, at the pub, a concert, visiting a friend, doing my household, getting to bed early, partying till I drop, swimming.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Private thing? What?
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you have the idea that we could get along. Or you just want to message. Or are curious and want to ask something.

I do not like messaging for ages. If you (in time) want to meet for some tea or a beer (preferably in some public place), that's very nice. I like to look people in the eyes. See a bit of their soul and bodylanguage.
