What? You want to spoil the mystery?

Ok, you asked for it!

I am slightly shy and slightly nerdy, and slightly shy about being slightly nerdy (is that surprising?). I go through phases (just like the moon!). Sometimes I'm a writer, sometimes I'm a photographer, sometimes a ... erm, it's usually something artsy fartsy.

I love discussing and debating things. I love talking about any topic; if I don't know about it, I'd love to learn about it; tell me more! (Unless it's about your Aunt Tilly's coin collection, just skip that.)

On my days off, if I'm not busy with school, I like to go to a museum, check out a street fair, see a performance, go to a park or just walk around the city and shop for stuff (hey, I'm a girl). When I had a bike I would go for rides sometimes, before it was stolen - insert expletive of your choosing.

I've gone back to school to pursue a nursing career. Yay for new directions!

Writing, enjoying delicious moments, dogged perseverance, walking into turnstyles after forgetting to swipe my metrocard...

Because people always stop me and say, "Hey, you know what I first noticed about you?"

Books: Random non-fiction on stuff that sounds interesting (most recently Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea), speculative fiction such as Ender's Game or The Chocolate Hollow Bunnies of the Apocolypse.

Movies: Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, No Country for Old Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lawrence of Arabia (it's been a long time; gotta watch it again when I have a gazillion hours to spare)

Shows: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Misfits (a British show), Big Bang Theory, Spartacus, Louie

Music: My taste is eclectic but very topical and changes with my mood. As long as it's good and it moves me, I'll listen.
