My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
****New to Denver and actively seeking awesome people who also like the following: coffee shop study dates, city bike adventures, storytelling, beer banter, geek club, and puppy play dates****

As a self proclaimed weirdo, I'm quirky and fluent in sarcasm. I embrace nerdiness wholeheartedly. I grew up in the beach. Originally from California, the ocean is my oasis, I'm happiest floating in the waves but I'm loving exploring the mountains. I believe in stringing together life's little happy moments --IPAs or wine on warm summer nights, eating dessert first, uncontrollable laughter, meals with friends, or shared smiles with strangers. Not much makes me happier than a fixie bike under city lights.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Looking for new adventures and exploring my new city. Attempting to train my nervous pup to be a model citizen, riding my bike as often as possible. Pulling trends out of behavior and emotions like a true former behavior analyst. Trying to teach myself new fun things 20 hours at a time.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I was once called a poised badass. I’ve been told my calm demeanor could probably diffuse an international hostage situation. I'm also pretty great at task lists, picking things up and putting them down, living my life as a social experiment, and dancing through awkwardness.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ideally my well-behaved young pup or speedy green bicycle, but probably my mermaid-like long hair and giant ex-rower/swimmer shoulders
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books are my favorite way to waste away an afternoon. Dewey decimal says I like 300s as 600s non-fiction. I'm part of a non-fiction book club and it is fantastic.

TV/ Movies: I will watch anyone flip a house, sell antiques, or survive in nature. Netflix gets me-- documentaries, House of Cards, Mad Men, Freaks and Geeks, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, West Wing, Daily Show, Orange is the New Black. Quentin Tarantino films, Grandma's Boy, Best in Show, Quirky independent films. I used to like Arrested Development but ruined it by watching it during a 6 hour long tattoo session. It's not really the same now...

Music... for now City and Colour, Jenny Owen Youngs, Tegan & Sara, Metric, Purity Ring. My goal this year is to upload a video of myself playing my uke or guitar on YouTube.

I've been paleo, vegan, and a foodie. I'm less into rules now. Maybe I'm a flexitarian. I love-- yellow curry, caprese salad, rosemary garlic fries, everything in the fridge salads, lumpia, Philly pretzels at midnight, late night sushi feasts, homemade pizza, and freshly picked mangos
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bikes, intelligent conversation, sarcastic people, moving bodies of water, my big crazy family, my sport team communities, Autostraddle-- the best people I know. And laughter, if I can spend a day laughing, I consider it a good day :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How people interact socially, exploring connections, storytelling, changing careers, traveling, dinner, and girls on bikes
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking craft beer or whiskey with friends or eating take out Ethiopian food while watching quirky indie films.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I absolutely can't wink for my life. I try so hard sometimes... but I just can't. It's pretty comical.
