My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Recently new to Denver via LA --> Philly--> LA. Looking for friends and adventures.

As a self proclaimed weirdo, I'm quirky, and fluent in sarcasm. I embrace nerdiness and dorkiness wholeheartedly. Always seeking new adventures. I grew up in the beach. The ocean is my oasis, I'm happiest floating in the waves but I'm loving exploring the mountains. I believe in stringing together life's little happy moments --IPAs or wine on warm summer nights, delicious french fries, uncontrollable laughter, meals with friends, or shared smiles with strangers. Not much makes me happier than a fixie bike under city lights.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Looking for new adventures and exploring my new city. Seeking fellow experience collectors. Recovering from the Ivy League. Former rower redefining myself on a different playing field. I'm always working towards balance and contemplating my next move. It is an ever-changing process. I'm just enjoying the ride.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Task lists, picking things up and putting them down, and dancing through awkwardness. I also moonlight as a national team dragon boat paddler
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Are you old enough to be here? One day I'll grow into my face
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books are my favorite way to waste away an afternoon. Dewey decimal says I like 300s as 600s non-fiction. I also like semi-autobiographical war stories like "The Things They Carried" or "Catch 22"

I'm terrible at sitting, but will watch anyone flip a house, sell antiques, or survive in nature. Netflix gets me-- documentaries, House of Cards, Mad Men, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, West Wing, Daily Show. I used to like Arrested Development but I ruined it by watching it continuously for a 6 hour long tattoo session. It's not really the same now...

Music is hard... genres are simpler-- college, indie, punk, pop punk, 90s, west coast rap/hip hop, singer/ songwriter, Afro pop, folk, and oldies-- especially while I dance around cleaning the kitchen. I play, guitar, repenique, and ukulele mediocrely but enthusiastically.

I've been paleo, vegan, and a foodie. I'm less into rules now. Maybe I'm a flexitarian. I love-- Caprese Salad, rosemary garlic fries, raspberry sorbet, lumpia, Philly pretzels at midnight, late night sushi feasts, homemade pizza, and fresh picked mangos
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bikes, intelligent conversation, sarcastic people, moving bodies of water, my big crazy family, my sport team communities, Autostraddle-- the best people I know. And laughter, if I can spend a day laughing, I consider it a good day :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where should I travel next? How to I make this more efficient? What's my next adventure... can my dog come? But mostly-- Whats for dinner??
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out or in bed sleeping if I have a race or practice the next day. Maybe I'll go out Saturday... maybe
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I absolutely can't wink for my life. I try so hard sometimes... but I just can't. It's pretty comical. I'm also a recovering elitist and far too sexual for my own good ;)
