Anyway, there’s probably more to know about me than I can really fit in these boxes, and who’s ever good at writing about themselves? I’ll try to hit a few important points, but I feel like talking in person is a much better way to look for a connection.
I love music. It’s always been a huge part of my life. I play guitar now, and once upon a time was a classical guitar major in school. Before that I had played a few other instruments, including violin as a kid (my old violin teacher was played by Meryl Streep in the movie Music of the Heart – she was much meaner in real life). I’m happiest surrounded by people listening to live music. Nothing beats the energy of a crowd that’s enthralled by an artist on stage. A concert-buddy would be fantastic.
I’m an INFP for those who know anything about Myers-Briggs personality types. The tests I’ve taken and the explanations I’ve read have been almost completely accurate, although I’ve found that reading too much into personality type can lead to a lack of understanding about who someone really is. Needless to say, I’m a dreamer and tend to have my head at least somewhat in a few clouds. I’m kind, thoughtful, and tend to give more in relationships than I ask for. I’m fairly liberal and while I’m up for debating, I feel like I’d probably match up best with someone who also has at least somewhat liberal tendencies.
As for what I’m looking for? It sort of changes as time goes... I’d love to find a friend first. I feel like friendship always leads to the best relationships. Besides, who wants to date someone they wouldn’t want as a friend? Nonsense! I usually gravitate to intelligent women. Quirks are great. Weirdness is one of my favorite things in the universe. Really I’m sort of hoping I’ll know what I’m looking for when I find it. I guess it can start with coffee or a drink or a show or some sort of fantastic adventure and I’ll see where it goes from there.
