My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there! I'm Chris, a Las Vegas native and video game designer. I've recently moved downtown, and am enjoying the hell out of the local scene, culture, and 3am police sirens.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making broken machines work again. Details. Researching nonsense on the internet. Keeping things alive. Enthusiasm. Asking questions. Making lists.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm easily amused. :]

Oh man. Okay, let's start with authors! Tom Robbins, José Saramago, George RR Martin, HG Wells, Eddie Campbell, Dan Simmons, George R Stewart. I try to rotate between nonfiction and fiction, mix up the learning stuff with the enjoying stuff.

Film! Anything by Wong Kar-Wai, Wim Wenders, John Cameron Mitchell, Akira Kurosawa, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Lars von Trier, Hayao Miyazaki, and Michel Gondry. I also really love TRON.

Additionally, I'm a sucker for apocalypse fiction. I'll read/watch the most shudder-worthy media if it deals with the end of the world.

Hey, what about video games, don't they count as art?

Music! My first love was Oingo Boingo, but we've grown apart as the years have gone by. Also, Cloud Cult, Metric, Everything but the Girl, VNV Nation, and tons of others. If it's on SomaFM, I'm probably a fan.

Food! I'll try anything. Favorites are Vietnamese, sushi, and hmm, probably pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The internet. Seriously, I'd get an implant without hesitation.
My African Grey. I wasn't planning on it, but I guess I've become a bird guy.
Books, film, and games. Wait, does that count as three things? What if I just call them media?
New experiences.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever it is that caught my fancy just moments before. Seriously folks, I'm like a goldfish, here.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...most likely out drinking somewhere on Fremont East, watching a movie, or playing games with friends. Sometimes I'm still working, but let's not talk too much about those times.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'll admit pretty much anything, I'm not very good at the whole filtering thing.
