I'm an early riser who likes to stay up late. I'm a sarcastic jerk with a sharp tongue who also likes to think of himself as nice.

And I'm a perfectionist who writes for a living and is pretty disgusted by the fact that he's somehow gotten himself locked in a pattern of referring to himself in the third person.

Shaking that off and dropping any pretense at artistry: I'm a liberal – a big one – and I believe firmly in doing what I can to support progressive causes. I'm a proud former member of the Obama 2012 digital team and, now that I'm back in real life, I'm trying to maintain that same sense of purpose that I felt back in Chicago.

I work in online communications. I like to imagine that makes me something of a modern-day Don Draper, but if I'm honest I'm actually a bit more like Peggy.

Is it just me or is this question just a softball opportunity either to try to make myself sound really popular or really alternative and aloof?
