My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Most of us never know where to start with these things. What words will we use to paint a picture of ourselves?

I love to travel. I've been to quite a few different states and countries over the past few years.

I have lived in two different countries for a total of 8 years.

I will occasionally message people because I have lots of free time at work and I enjoy chatting with people. It'd be nice to meet friends that wanted to go see movies, get coffee, or try out various restaurants in the area. I don't always pay attention to the match/friend percentage, as I've written to people that were 95% matches that didn't work out, and made great friends that only show a 65% match. Take from that what you will.

If it's not obvious to you yet, I'm not a vegetarian. I have pretty simple tastes in food and I don't like spicy foods at all. (Ok, it's not that I don't like them... *they* don't like ME.)

Fire & EMS is my gig and I still remain interested in technology as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
School takes up some time. I do love to travel when time & finances permit. I've been to Germany, Belgium, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, Iraq, Canada, and Jamaica over the past year alone.

Trying new places to eat. Looking for coffee shops. Getting back to an exercise routine too. Learning how to cook again.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
BBQ! I can cook up a pretty good steak using my bathtub. (Yes, I'm serious) Otherwise, I'm not too bad with computers. I'm great at listening to people as well. It comes with the territory. I'm not too bad at fixing broken people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I enjoy many different film genres. Sci Fi, Drama, Action/Adventure. My Netflix queue usually has about 50+ movies on it.

Foods? I like to cook. I grill steaks, chicken, ribs, etc. Tonight's dish is Beef Taco Bake. (crap, i forgot how that one came out..) Otherwise, there's bands like Marillion, Disturbed, Evergrey, Slayer, Dokken, Lullacry,Nightwish, Within Temptation and After Forever many other alternative & classic rock. Female fronted Scandinavian rock/metal bands top my list. I like country music as well. I don't really care much for rap or hip hop. I like 80's metal. I like some EDM. I have a Sirius subscription, and it's a great place to find new music. So is Wikipedia, actually. Slacker and iTunes Radio are as well.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There are more than six things. I can do without a lot of things. I go camping in the desert several times a year where there are no other people around for miles, and I do just dandy. At any given time, I could probably do without most things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about current events. I read a LOT of news sites and like to keep up to date on what's going on in our world. I also spend a good amount of time reading up on medical issues and trying to keep my skills up to date.

Ok, I admit it. I spend a lot of time thinking about food. I love trying new restaurants!

I'm well aware of the fact that I don't smile much in photos. You'll just have to get over that lil' issue. Yes, I have all of my teeth. I just don't have a "photo smile." Why are people so hung up on smiling in photos? If you want a glimpse into my personality, let's go out for coffee or something.

Other time is spent wondering why so many guys on here send really stupid messages to people. Wow..
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I sometimes work on Friday nights. Exciting, eh? If I'm not at work, I'm probably watching stuff from Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I check the "Activity Partners" box because yes, I am a-ok with just making new friends as well. Also feel that strict monogamy is stifling. I want to keep my bodily autonomy and will maintain control over my life.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're capable of lucid thought, and you don't write in text message speak.

You should message me if you feel like asking me something. I don't mind random messages.

If you aren't just looking for a guy to give you a family or are looking for a father figure for your kids. (I'm child free. Older kids are one thing, but I'm not really interested in dating anyone that has little kids. I want someone that can wake up in the morning and go and little kids almost always prevent that.)

An open relationship doesn't bother you, or you're at least curious about it to think outside of your preconceived notions about what a relationship "should be like" and mature enough to understand that it doesn't mean booty call. I will not be treated like a piece of property, and I will never treat you that way.

If you feel like it. I know girls are overwhelmed with messages on here, but it's nice to get a reply. A little courtesy goes a long way.

You just want to prove that you actually read the whole thing.
