My self-summary
Never entirely certain how to write these as they always feel a little indulgent. With that said....here is a wee bit of info.

I'm from Los Angeles and have been in San Diego for the past six years. It is really quite the nice city in comparison to the City of Angels.

I believe myself to be a pretty open person and am more than willing to give anything a whirl. With that said, I consider myself to be a liberal feminist that is fairly politically active. Conservatives need not apply I suppose, though I am always happy to get into a nice little debate over coffee. Tis the point of civil discourse, no?

I am also passionate about music, film, literature and education.

I also love running, eating and talking. I especially love talking with a new person over a lovely meal!

I am not a fan of the oxford comma.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently working on my Masters in Women Studies at San Diego State University.

I also do LGBTQIA activist work at local high schools and am currently in the process of starting an alt-academic zine at SDSU.

Occasionally, I work as a substitute teacher in East County San Diego. While some may see this as teaching....it is often more survival. I still find it to be pretty fun!

I also tend to spend a decent amount of time with my mind in the clouds wondering what the future may hold. I am considering doctoral programs on the east coast in foreign policy at this point, but I would not be too surprised if that changed in the next week or so.
I’m really good at
Talking, eating, and listening.

I haven't died yet, so I am pretty good at this life thing as well!
The first things people usually notice about me
My eye lashes and the facial hair.

Also, that I often have a book in hand (currently reading Mao II and The Black Atlantic)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That people sometimes think that I have a British accent because of various mannerisms and words I use. As I have never been to the UK, I'm not sure how this came about. It usually happens when I am about to fall asleep.

Apart from that...just ask and I'll probably respond!
