I am on a dating, site, and obviously lame.
My Self-Summary
To me, this is the most amusing category on the site. As if anyone
could actually sum up their life in 500 words or less.
I voted for Obama. I cried when Marley died. I wash a set of sheets
and then leave them in the dryer for three days.
I love movies. I don't eat fast food. I work out. Like to play
tennis. Like to surf. Not a big fan of socks. "Dressing up" for me
is wearing a pair of jeans without any holes. I own a nice house in
the Valley but would trade it for a shack at the beach any day.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a screenwriter with a day job.
I’m really good at
I don't know. There's got to be something. Let me think about it
for awhile.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I actually showed up.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: The Fisher King. Fargo. Broadcast News. If Lucy Fell.
Parenthood. The Big Chill. Groundhog Day. Fifty First Dates.
Overboard. Rainman. Princess Bride. Snatch. Planes, Trains and
Automobiles. Breakfast Club. Sixteen Candles. Sleepless in Seattle.
Wedding Crashers. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The Inlaws
(original). The Out of Towners (original), Saving Private Ryan,
Patton...
Also love the old Tracy/Hepburn films and anything staring Cary
Grant.
Television: House Entourage, Hell's Kitchen, Dexter. And I'm going
to start watching ABC News now that Diane Sawyer will be anchoring
(major crush on her).
Food: I eat ridiculously healthy. Not because I really care about
my health. I just want to look good.
Books: Not a big book reader lately. In the past I've read On the
Road. A Clockwork Orange. Animal Farm", 1984...and bunch of other
stuff I don't really feel like listing here. Got into a Tom Robbins
phase a while back (Another Roadside Attraction, Even Cowgirls Get
The Blues) until I realized that pretending to be clever and ironic
is not nearly as interesting as actually being clever and
ironic.
Music: On my Ipod I've got anything from The Black Eyed Peas and
Naughty By Nature to the Dixie Chicks and James Blunt. Still,
DooWop music might be my favorite genre. (I'm not that old, just
nostalgic, I guess).
The six things I could never do without
car keys
coffee
voice mail
t-shirts
Levi's
volumizing shampoo
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think way too frickin much.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a movie. Out to dinner. Out for drinks. Maybe home writing or
hanging out with my dog.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I seriously hate online dating sites.
You should message me if
You're intelligent and you have a sense of humor. Either that or
you're really dumb, will worship the ground I walk on and think
everything I say is brilliant. (And yes, that was a joke...sort
of).
