My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First off I'm not in a place to be looking for a relationship. At this point in my life I'm only interested in friendships.

I would like to say that it takes a lot of courage for me to message someone. I don't send people messages often. (It's best if you message me first.) If I message you it most likely means I'm interested in you or was intrigued by something in your profile. I would rather you message me back with a simple "No thanks" or a "Not interested" rather than not replying at all. I also would like to add that if you message me I will always message you back. The only exceptions would be if you're rude, mean, hateful, and/or are only asking for sex. Though even then I'd often message you back with a "No thanks" or something to that effect.

Now on to my self-summary...

HI! My name is Brandie. I'm 29 years old. I have a mohawk that is currently my natural brown but that will change soon enough. I have blue eyes and I wear glasses. I'm 5'6" tall and I'm what some might call a BBW though I just call myself fat or overweight. I weigh 250 lbs. I live in Bloomington Indiana (I'm a native NOT a student!). I'm a shy, quiet person. Best of all I am an official loser :) (Before you say anything about me being a loser understand I think being a loser is a good thing. To me a loser is someone who isn't popular or well liked but doesn't care because they are happy being themselves. A loser is comfortable in their own skin. A loser doesn't care what anyone else thinks or says about them. A loser follows his or her own path in life. Follows the beat of their own xylophone or kazoo. Basically someone who doesn't fit into conventional society but is comfortable enough with themselves to be cool with that or better yet is oblivious to the fact that they don't fit in, in the first place.)

I love piercing's. I currently have my lower lip pierced on my left side and hope to get the right side pierced as well. I want to complete the snake bites. I'm not sure if I want any piercing other than that but who knows they are quite addicting. I also love tattoos. Sadly I currently have none but there's a growing list of tattoos I do want and plan to get as soon as I have the money

I enjoy cooking I'm not the best cook but I can hold my own and I'm hoping practice will make me even better. Baking desserts and cookies is more my specialty. My friends beg me to make my famous sugar cookies all the time. My cakes are often raved about as well.

I love to sing (even though I'm no good at it). I also enjoy listening to music. I LOVE music! Music is my life. I'd die without my daily dose of music. (Seriously I listen to music for at least an hour everyday most days it's far more than that.) I love most any kind of music. I've had a keyboard for many years that I never really learned to play. I got a guitar several Christmas's ago and have yet to learn to play that either. Though I doubt I will maybe someday I'll finally pick one or both of those instruments up. I have a lime green ukulele and took a few classes. I'm not that great but hopefully I will be able to follow through with this instrument. Thanks to Julia Nunes (If you don't know who that is check her out on YouTube she's amazing.) I've developed a love of the ukulele and I hope that's enough to follow through.

I enjoy watching TV and movies. I especially like going to see movies in the theaters. I'd go much more often if it wasn't so expensive. I am also interested in playing SOME PS2, Wii, games like Mario Kart, and Cars. (I'm certainly NOT a "gamer" or anything it's just something I enjoy now and again.) I enjoy playing computer games such as The Sims, as well as board games like Life, Clue, and Monopoly. I also enjoy playing KoL. (It's an online RPG. The only RPG I’m interested in playing.)

I enjoy camping and hiking. I'm not too much of an outdoors kind of person but I enjoy nature. I feel nature grounds and calms me. When I’m outside and it’s calm and quiet it feels like I can finally breathe. City girl I’m not. Out in the woods or the country is where I’d rather live. I wish I could camp more often. Unfortunately I don't have the supplies.

I LOVE to sew. I make clothes for me, my friends, and babies/children, as well as purses, and craft items such as rag dolls, and quilts. It's a fun hobby that's quickly dying. I'm hoping it makes a comeback. If you would like to see the stuff I make you can check out my Facebook page Facebook.com/DuctapeFaerie, check out my Flickr account at Flickr.com/ductapelosergirl, or check out my DeviantART page http://ductapefaerie.deviantart.com/. I also enjoy making things out of duct tape. I make things such as wallets, clothes, jewelry/accessories. It's an unusual interest but very fun to explore. You would be surprised how many things you can make out of duct tape. Duct tape is VERY handy. And I don't mean that in any kind of sexual way. I just mean it's a very useful product.

I'm interested in photography. I LOVE to take pictures of nature, unaware people, and inanimate objects. I also love to play with the photo editing software on my computer. It's fun to take a cool picture and make it even better or more interesting. I know very little about cameras. I don't even have a camera of my own. It would be cool to learn more about photography though.

I like to read. I'm a huge fan of anything written by Henry Rollins. I enjoy writing in my journal/blog. I also write (even though I have no talent for it) poetry, stories, and lyrics. I enjoy drawing illustrations for my story's. I also like to draw floor plans which I suppose is an odd hobby to have especially when you consider I'm not an architect but hey I'm a weird person.

I LOVE kids and enjoy baby-sitting. I would love nothing more than to be a housewife/stay-at-home mom. However at the moment I'm unemployed and I don't have a clue what I want to do until with myself until I can be a wife and a mother.

I hate having to put my religious beliefs into a tiny box with a perfect tag. Religion, political beliefs, and sexuality aren’t black and white and simply cannot be shoved into a box like that. I can't say I'm an Atheist per say but I can't say I'm not either. For example I’m a firm believer in the paranormal. I enjoy spending time working with my Tarot cards and reading/learning about the paranormal, astrology, and palmistry. I also believe in karma and reincarnation. However I don't believe in God (or Gods)/Devil or Heaven/Hell or anything similar to that. I was raised in a Christian household where other religions weren't taught or even mentioned to me. I spent a long time thinking I was Wiccan but I'm not sure that's really the right path for me. For now I'm sitting comfortably in the Atheist zone though I'm still exploring other paths. I'm always up for learning more about other religions. You’re welcome to share your beliefs with me so long as you’re not preaching to me.

I LOVE animals. I'm very interested/concerned with animal welfare. I try to buy animal friendly products whenever possible. I don't buy leather or suede products. Because of my love of animals I'm a vegetarian. I support organizations such as ASPCA, WWF, and HSUS as much as I can afford to.

I'm also very interested and concerned with the environment and global warming. I'm a bit of a recycle freak. I feel people should care more about their carbon footprint and the damage they're doing to the environment. Everyone should want to leave the world to the next generation in no worse (if not better) of a condition than it was given to us. I wish people would care more. I want my kids and grandkids to have air to breathe and a clean planet to live on. I fear the Earth will become a giant trash heap like in the movie "Wall-E". Speaking of trash heaps (but mostly unrelated to the environment topic) Marjorie is my favourite character from Fraggle Rock.

Finally and most importantly... I'm a smart-ass and I'm very sarcastic/witty. You may not like or even understand my sense of humor but you'll definitely need a one to talk to me! I'll also admit that as a fan of The Office I'm guilty of saying "That's what she said." in everyday conversation. A bit childish yes but I can't help it. It makes me laugh. I enjoy laughing.

I am me, shy/quiet, and unique. Take it or leave it. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm not doing anything with my life. I quit high school, got my GED, and I haven't done anything with my life since. I feel a bit lost on what to do with my life. I want nothing more than to be a housewife/stay-at-home mom. However I'm unsure of what kind of career path I want to take until I can get there.

I have a variety of odd jobs to keep my head above water. I baby sit, work for a friends cleaning company, make and sell (or at least try to sell) various craft items (If you'd like to see the craft items check out my Facebook page Facebook.com/DuctapeFaerie.), and do odd jobs for my father business but I don't have a steady, real, 9-5 type of job. I'm pretty much a loser. Hints the screen name. I suppose it's not a good thing to announce on a dating web site that you're an unemployed loser but I'm not going to lie about it. I'd prefer you overlook me because I'm unemployed and/or a loser rather than try to mislead you. I can't say I'm proud of where I am in life but it's up to me and no one else to change that. I've always been one to do things in my own way and in my own time. So when I'm ready and it's the right time for me. I'll figure this whole career thing out.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd love to have a talent but I'm not one of the lucky ones. I wasn't born with any sort of talent.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would think the first thing people usually notice about me is my standoffish nature. I tend to send out the vibe of "Leave me the fuck alone." I am shy and awkward. I'm not a social person at all. So I know I purposely send that vibe out so I don't have to talk to people. In reality however I don't always mean to come off like that. It's really not at all who I am. I'm actually a very kind, sweet, generous, softy who loves babies and animals. I'm the kind of person who would do just about anything for anyone I love. I'm always there to help a friend out in a pinch. If one is brave enough to get past my barrier I think you'll find I'm not nearly as ferocious as I seem. "...There's a girl that gives a shit behind this wall you just walk through it..."

I would think my hair and piercing probably stick out as well. I have a mohawk that is always changing colour and my lower lip is pierced on the left side. I'm sure people also notice the way I dress and my weight (I'm fat/overweight or as some might say I'm a BBW I weigh 250). I'm a unique / odd kind of person and that is reflected in how I dress. I wear a lot of black and/or camouflage clothing. Lots of baggy Tripp NYC types of pants. I wear a lot of witty/sarcastic shirts. I make or alter a lot of my clothes. I LOVE skulls and have quite a few skull shirts. I wear chains a lot too. I guess you could call my fashion sense "Hot Topic like". Well at least Hot Topic the way it used to be. I'm not really into this new Emo/Scene Kid/Anime/Japanese/skinny jean/hipster fashion swing. I like the more "goth" "punk" types of clothes. Big baggy black Tripp NYC pants with chains, skulls, and d-rings all over them. I'm not afraid to wear funky mismatched Goodwill outfits either. Basically I enjoy being unique/different. I don't ever want to be anyone but me. I like doing my own thing and that's reflected in how I dress.

My favorites...

BOOKS- I LOVE any book written by Henry Rollins. My favorite one is "Black Coffee Blues". I wore my old copy out reading and toting it around with me all the time. "Shopgirl" by Steve Martin is an amazing book and movie that I dearly love. (How Steve Martin could write a novella and movie about me without ever having met me I’ll never know.) I also enjoyed "Coraline" by Neil Gaimen. I'll admit I had never heard of him prior to the release of the movie but I enjoy his books now. "Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaimen is an awesome book defiantly one of my favourites!. I'm eager to read "Ugly Shy Girl" by Laura Dockrill hopefully I'll be able to purchase the book soon. I'm also a big fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. And currently I'm madly in love with the Heck Where the Bad Kids Go series by Dale Basye.

MOVIES- My favorite movie is "Shopgirl". That movie pretty much describes me to a T. I also love "It's Kind of a Funny Story" and pretty much any dark comedy like it. I LOVE any movie with Adam Sandler or Henry Rollins in it. I also enjoy any movies made by Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison. I'm a big fan of children's movies especially Pixar movies. My favourite being a tie between "Wall-E", Toy Story, "A Bug's Life", and "Cars". As cliché as it is to say I love Tim Burton films. I can't get enough of Jack and Sally. I love "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Big Fish", "Corpse Bride", "Sleepy Hollow", andFrankenweenie! "Coraline" (though not a Tim Burton movie just a Burton-esk movie) was awesome I saw it both in 2-D and 3-D. I love that they stuck to the book for the most part. I love most any movie that makes me laugh. I enjoy a good drama or romance story every once in a while. I like to watch horror/suspense movies sometimes "Let the Right One In" and "Let Me In" were both awesome! I have yet to tackle the book though. I'm not much into what I call "boy" movies like sci-fi, comic book (with the exception of "Kick-Ass"), and action (with the exception of "Sucker Punch"). Basically comedies are my favourite type of movie but I'm willing to give almost any movie that doesn't require subtitles a try. I have trouble following movies when I have to read subtitles.

SHOWS- 2 Broke Girls, Adventure Time, Amazing Race, America's Got Talent, American Horror Story, Arrested Development, Being Human (Both US and UK versions), Bewitched, The Big C, The Big Bang Theory, Big Brother, The Blacklist, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice, Caprica, Charmed, Chelsea Lately, Cougar Town, Daria, The Dead Zone, Dexter, Dharma and Greg,Drop Dead Diva, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Frasier, Futurama, Ghost Hunters, Grimm, Harry's Law, Heroes, House, In Plain Sight, The Inbetweeners, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Killing, Lost, Michael and Michael Have Issues, The Middle, Mike and Molly, Misfits, Modern Family, Mythbusters, Necessary Roughness, The Office, Parenthood, Parks and Recreation, Prison Break, Project Runway, Psych, Raising Hope, Roseanne, Rosanne's Nuts, Roswell, Royal Pains, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy, Suits, Tori and Dean, True Blood, The Walking Dead, Weeds, What Would You Do?, Wipeout I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I can think of at this moment in time. Clearly I watch WAY TOO MUCH TV!

MUSIC- I LOVE music. I have an insatiable appetite for Music. I love almost all kinds of music. My favorite genre of music is probably punk (punk rock, pop punk, ska, etc.). I'm also falling more madly and deeply in love with folk, and acoustic music. Short of polka, metal, and gospel music I can get into most any kind of music. I don't think I could live without music. Hanson and Blink 182 are my favorite bands but my tastes go beyond that. It would take too long to even give you a short list. Let’s just say an 80 GB MP3 player still wouldn't be enough to hold all the music I love. It often takes me a long time to hear of a band/singer (Due to my deep hatred of and refusal to listen to the radio and also just being out of the loop on new things in general.) so I'm always down for people sharing their favourite bands with me. Thanks to my insatiable appetite I'm always needing to add new music to my collection. I can never have too much music!

FOOD- My favorite foods are Skippy brand creamy peanut butter, Nasoya tofu, organic bananas, mushrooms, fresh fruit and veggies, organic foods, vegan/vegetarian friendly foods (I'm a vegetarian), and tons of other things I'm sure but I don't want to bore you with any longer of a list. I'm probably the most, or at least one of the most, picky eaters you'll ever meet. Don't worry you don't have to be vegan or vegetarian to talk to and/or date me. I don't like the fact that some people choose to eat meat but with that whole free will thing it's kind of hard to stop anyone. Besides I wouldn't want someone forcing their eating habits on me so I should show others the same courtesy. As long as I can have my tofu and setain you can have your meat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I six things I could never do without are music, air, clean water, food, shelter, and duct tape. And yes in that exact order. And yes I know it's not proper grammar to start sentences with and.

The eleven things I would never want to do without are my best friend, music, electricity, clean running hot and cold water, air, the Internet, TV with cable or satellite and DVD player, clean clothes, toilet paper, toiletry items, and transportation of some kind (car, feet, bus, etc.).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about anything and everything. I think way to much really. I have a tendency to over analyze myself, people, situations, the world, etc. I'm almost always in my head. The most likely cause of my insomnia... a brain that wont shut up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday night I'm usually on the Internet, watching TV, or watching movies. I'm just that cool. I don't go out and party. That's just not my thing. I'd rather hang out with friends in a small group or stay home alone. I'm a shy homebody with no life. Boring maybe... but I like it.

On a typical Saturday night I'm hanging out with my best friend. We typically hang out and watch our favorite shows on DVD or that we've DVR'd that week (The Office, Lost, Prison Break, Parenthood, Modern Family, Roswell, Caprica, Big Bang Theory, Raising Hope, Adventure Time, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Heroes, etc.) or movies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I’m a dyslexic, misanthrope, insomniac. Not that those three things are related (that I know of) but I happen to have/be all of the above.

I also have acne. I edit most of it out in my photos here. I fully acknowledge this is false advertising and I apologize for that. It's something I'm incredibly self conscious about and would rather not show to you.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if you're NOT looking for sex. As the "I'm looking for" section of the profile will tell you I'm looking for new friends, and long term dating only. You should message me if you actually want to get to know me either as friends or potentially something more. At this point in my life I’m looking for something serious/long term. If you’re not that’s cool but you’re likely not the one for me. You should message me if you've read this whole profile (seriously kudos to you if you really have read this all the way though) and I haven't scared you away yet. And last but not least you should message me if you find me intriguing.

I'm a sucker for a man covered in tattoos and/or piercing's. I'm a sucker for a man who likes kids, is good with kids, and has and/or wants kids of his own. I'm a sucker for a man with a mohawk or other unique/interesting hairstyle and/or that has unnatural colours of hair like blue, purple, pink, green, etc. With the exception of moustaches I LOVE facial hair on a man especially if it's just a little I haven't shaved in a day or two stubble. It’s super sexy! I'm a sucker for a man in Tripp NYC pants. Or a man that dresses in “goth”, “punk", or any other unique/interesting style. I'm attracted to men who are "odd", "weird", "unique", "individualistic". Geeky/nerdy guys are also a plus. Though I woudln't concider myself a geek or a nerd I often find myself attracted to men who are. Intelligence is a majour turn on! I'm VERY attracted to a man with a good sense of humor. A sense of humor really is one of the most important things in a potential match. Someone who can laugh and knows how to make others laugh. I'm attracted to a man who can prod me out of my shell from time to time but won't yank me out. But most importantly I like a man who isn't afraid to be himself at all times. Though I’m attracted to men of all shapes, sizes, colours, heights, and weights ultimately I truly don't care what's on the outside. You have to be beautiful on the inside, kind, interesting, intelligent, and "odd"/"weird"/"unique" or I won't be interested. So if this sounds like you feel free to contact me!

I have a MySpace page MySpace.com/ductapelosergirl. (I’m trying to bring MySpace back.) A Facebook page Facebook.com/ductapelosergirl. I also have AOL/AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and MySpaceIM all with the screen name ductapelosergirl. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to chat.
