I was born in Pakistan, lived in Greece for a year (learned how to speak English over there when I was in first grade) We then moved to Dubai where I lived for about five years. I finished high school in Pakistan, and then came here for college and have been here ever since. I'm usually a pretty optimistic person. I've been through my share of personal pain and heartbreak, but like to think I've come out stronger from those experiences.
I value my close friends a lot. We've helped one another through a lot
Once I get to truly know someone, I am very good at expressing myself, and also understanding them pretty well too. I believe good relationships always start on some sort of platonic level, where it's just easy to talk to someone, and then you take the next step naturally. If you can connect with someone on an emotional level, then the rest pretty much falls into place. If you find that right person, and sometimes they can even be closer than you think, it's always worth the risk to let them know how you feel.
I love humor. I laugh at the silliest of things. Laughing amongst close friends or with that special someone is a beautiful feeling. I can appreciate a snarky/sarcastic sense of humor, as long as it's respectful and not condescending. I can laugh at myself as well or make myself laugh when I do something silly. I respect honesty and people who don't have an atttitude or take themselves too seriously.
Arrogance and conceit are a huge turn off.
I'm an affectionate person. I love holding hands, hugging, cuddling and all that stuff, but also respect someone's need for space.
