Hi there... I'm originally from Minnesota, just came here to Hawaii
from upstate New York. First thing you should know about me is I've
alway been a bit of a geek, I do love to try to go to ComiCon and
PAX. However that being said being from Minnesota I love the
outdoors, I miss fishing and camping and I have been meaning to try
and go out hiking. I also love sports preferably football, however,
I try to keep up on the other sports.
I like random things and have a tendency to laugh at nothing. Life
is too incredibly short to be angry all of the time and while there
are a lot of things in my life that irritate me I prefer to try to
deal and move on. I've had the opportunity to visit some places
around the world and am thankful for the experience. Not much of a
barfly, though I do occasionally enjoy a drink or two.
What I’m doing with my life
Have been enlisted in the Navy for a decade, it's damn scary how
fast time flies. The work never stops and the hours are long. I
hope to start knocking out general credits and hopefully start
working towards a degree in Education (teaching Math or Science).
I’m really good at
Reading, knowing random actors and random movies ((get stuck in a
house for three days in a white out not much else to do but watch
movies)) listen, and pretty much be a steady shoulder.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well if I'm in shorts it's generally the tattoo's on my leg,
however in pants I have no idea. . .
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV Shows: The Following, Chuck, How I met your Mother, Community,
Big Bang Theory.
Music: This is an incredibly long list, been listening to a lot of
indie stuff lately like the Great Northern, Metric, Company of
Thieves and DCFC. However, I have a lot of decent old rock music
CCR, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin to emo of Brand New, Say Anything and
+44 to a smattering of country. I'm pretty much willing to listen
Movies: This list could go on forever, (500) days of Summer,
Zombieland, Stranger than Fiction, Funny Games, Big Trouble in
Little China town, Death Proof, Pitch perfect, Nick and Norah's,
The Ugly Truth, Spies Like Us, Aliens and the list goes on and
on... on an easier note the last movie I just couldn't seem to get
into was Men who stare at goats ((I actually fell asleep in the
movie theatre watching it))
Books: The alchemist, anything by Neil Gaiman, Dean Koontz's old
stuff and a smattering of the new, Patrick Rothfus, Chesapeake Bay
The six things I could never do without
My family first and foremost-they have been there for me countless
times, I-pod-Is my way of decompression of stress underway and
music is such a huge part of my life I don't know what I'd do
without it, Computer-where else can you see pictures of lightning
from volcanoes, watch random tv shows and have a billion forwarded
emails from family that just get insta-deleted right there at your
fingertips, decent book-generally leaves you lighter after a good
one, decent food-do six months on a submarine and you'll understand
that and then some, sleep-best reset for a crap day
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Toss up between work and the future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Unwinding from a long work-week just relaxing and trying to make
the most of my free time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a huge fan of cheesy romantic books. It all started when I
caught my father (he's 6'4" and looks like he should belong to a
biker gang, but in actuality pretty much the most decent human
being I've ever met) reading a Norah Roberts book I questioned his
manhood and declared him unfit for the title of man. He called me
out and said if I could read the book and not want to read the next
book I could call him whatever I wanted. 8 years later I still find
that book a great read.
You should message me if
If you have anything to say at all, just curious if people actually
read these things. Finally got around to updating my profile from
the move to up here.
