I am A Giver, Respectable, and Different.
My Self-Summary
(updated November 20th, 2009)
My name is Robert. My family calls me R.J. (first 2 initials of my
real name), but almost everyone else calls me "Professor" for my
knowledge of many things. I don't like everyone calling me one name
because it is boring to me. Feel free to call me any of those names
or make up your own nickname for me, as long as it isn't Bob, Bobby
or something offensive.
I love to show and teach people new things. I value friends and
family highly over any amount of money. I value new ideas,
different opinions, different cultures, ethnic groups, and
basically anything new and/or different from me.

What I’m doing with my life
I graduated as a pharmacy technician in June 2008. I am now going
to school to become a pharmacist and I should be done around 2012.
I will go after my Masters of Business Administration during this
to go for a Pharmacy Manager career.
I am currently looking at starting two non-profit organizations
after I finish Pharmacy school:
1) To help people who have epilepsy to be able enjoy their life.
Yes, I do have epilepsy which is well-controlled.
2) To help people be able to afford their medications at a low cost
or to make drugs affordable to all without the high prices.
I have given some thoughts toward a retirement career in Education
as a part-time professor. I get too many compliments and
suggestions from friends to not pay attention to it.
I haven't gone anywhere yet outside of Western and Central USA, but
I plan to go to England, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Hungary,
Austria, Russia, China, and more.

I’m really good at
Creativity. I have a really creative mind and like to constantly
use it whenever possible. Works really good with the next one
=)
Surprising people. I like to buy things for people from time to
time just to surprise them. It brings a smile to make someone
happy. =)
People say that I would make a good counselor. I guess people just
feel comfortable and trust me. I do it because I like to see my
friends feel better. I couldn't do it as a career, just trust me on
that.
Discussing different topics of all types. No topic is taboo for me.
I love intelligent conversation.
Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology (Fungi, Bacteria,
Viruses, and Parasites). My grandpa was a doctor and we studied on
those together for 20 years; picture him as a professor and me as a
6 year old studying with him. Sadly, since my grandpa passed away
my knowledge in Microbiology decreased sharply.
Dogs and cats both love me. I am known for meeting someone for the
first time and their dog will want me to pet them almost the second
I walk in the door. I don't own any pets currently at the moment.
My roommate has a brown nosed poodle, so I just decided to hold off
on pets until I get my own place.

The first things people usually notice about me
Physically: my natural curly hair.
Socially: Alpha male with some Beta male tendencies in most social
groups I am involved in. I take charge when it's needed, but I'm
willing to let someone who has a better grasp of things take
leadership.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Legend of Drizzt Series, books by Robin Cook, and
nonfiction books. I am currently looking for "new" books to read,
so I am open to any suggestions right now.
Movies: Alien,
Aliens (after this movie no point in
making any more Alien movies),
American Beauty, Bad Boys 1
& 2,
The Blob
(original and the 1988 version),
Catch Me If You Can,
Dead Poets
Society,
Detroit Rock City,
Fast and the
Furious,
Friday the 13th movies,
Gone in
60 Seconds, Indiana Jones trilogy (but not the last one),
Jackass the Movie,
Labyrinth,
Meet the Fockers,
Meet the
Parents,
Nightmare on Elm Street,
Office Space,
Silence
of the Lambs,
Slugs,
Spaceballs,
Species, Star Wars (the original
trilogy),
The
Terminator,
Terminator 2,
Willy
Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original),
Yes Man, and movies with
Nicholas Cage, Rodney Dangerfield, or Adam Sandler. I have hundreds
of movies I enjoy and will watch any kind of movie. I love movies
over T.V.
T.V.: I like to watch the History Channel, Discovery
Channel, and The Learning Channel. I don't really watch much T.V.,
maybe 1-3 hours every 3 months. I like the 80's-90's sitcoms and I
still will watch them if I get the chance.
Fresh Prince of
Bel-Air,
Simpsons,
Full House, and some others.
Music: I love most forms of music, but not most rap or
screamo. You can usually tell my mood by the music playing. Lots of
stuff I listen to have feelings and/or emotion to it.
Bangles,
Beetles,
Billy Talent,
The Cure,
Godsmack,
Goldfrapp,
Green Day,
Interpol,
Korn,
Marilyn Manson (oh no a
Christian who listens to stuff outside of the typical Christian
stuff),
Nickelback,
Placebo,
Rammstein,
Tori Amos,
White Zombie, and more. I usually
have a hard time getting into the genre of "Christian" music
because I don't like songs that do so much focus on Christ instead
of God. Christ said "Don't worship me; worship the father (God)." I
like the songs that praise and honor God.
Food: Mexican, Italian, and American food. Burritos, fish,
fruits, hamburgers, nachos, pasta, pizza, spaghetti, tacos, top
ramen, veggies, and more. I love food that is quick and easy to
make, but I am not a fast food junkie. Pizza is monthly at most and
fast food is weekly at most, usually on a Sunday because I
completely relax and let myself unwind that day. I can cook food
that is complex to make and enjoy making and eating it just as
well, but as a bachelor, simple works best. Most people would be
surprised to know that I eat a good amount of vegan foods for most
parts of a week, but I will never be a complete vegan. I love
eating meat. I am not a health freak and I don't expect you to be
one either. Moderation is key.

The six things I could never do without
Science and Reason, Friends & Family, Learning new stuff, Tea,
My Computer, and Books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I am always looking towards the time when all my schooling is over,
when I am with a woman I love with all of my heart, when I have a
family I can be proud of and am willing to do anything for.
I am always thinking and daydreaming new ideas. How could I end
unemployment in America? How could I get Universal Health Care to
work in the USA? I am always thinking about how this nation should
be us first, other nations second.
I believe strongly in separation of church and state due to past
history of abuse (Inquisition) therefore when I vote I always vote
for freedom of choice to prevent abuse of power. If you can't get
along with certain types of people (such as gays, bisexuals,
non-Christians) and if you dislike any type of people for
unrealistic reasons, we probably won't get along. I am willing to
accept all types of people as friends. Jesus himself hung around
the sinners of the world, not the people who thought they didn't
need him and thought they were sinless.
This part maybe unusual for most people, but I support the
legalization of drugs despite being personally 100% against drug
use. The reason why I support this is to destroy the illegal drug
trade with all the crime around it. If something cost 300 an ounce
and by legalizing it you make it 10 bucks an ounce, why would a
drug lord want to commit crime for a measly 2 dollars profit
instead of the 292 dollar profit s/he used to make? So, make it a
social issue and not a legal issue. Crush the drug problems in this
nation and pour the resulting money savings into law enforcement,
drug rehabs, education and many other programs that would result
from the boom. You don't have to support me on this, but please
don't be a drug user yourself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Leaving the house for a whole day or weekend. I don't really plan
it out; I just more or less think up a few things to do along the
way and do it. It's very relaxing after a hard work week. Sometimes
I visit friends or my parents. Other times I read a book or do
something online.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I like to dance a lot. There isn't a style of dancing I
don't like.
I hate one night stands. No joke.

You should message me if
If looking for new friends: As long as you are not
prejudiced towards people, let's be friends!
- You want to debate just to debate. I don't discuss religion or
politics unless the other person is willing to discuss it.
- You need help with your profile. =P (

here)
- You're willing to help me with my profile. If you can help narrow
it down to a smaller profile, that would be very helpful. =)
If looking for someone to date:
I would like the focus of the relationship to be
friends first,
built around trust and honesty to each other. I might be
interested if you're seeking an equal partnership where we're not
totally controlling each other's lives. You are more than welcome
to ask questions on my definition of an equal partnership
relationship or anything else.
-
You have or are actively seeking a college education and have
a career in mind with your life.
-
You are healthy, but not a health nut. I don't find
extremely underweight or overweight women attractive. Average
weight works perfect for me. Please be honest about your weight.
Most of this is just the usual stuff to dating. I like to have fun
in my life and I want you to have the same. I don't want to live a
regimented life - do you?
-
You don't smoke or do drugs. I don't tolerate it.
-
You like to travel.
-
You love pets. I am adaptable with pets, so I will work
with you; just as long as you like pets that is what matters.
=)
I want to have kids of my own at some point. A woman with
kids already is a big question mark for me right now, so I would
have to go on a case by case basis.
Thanks for your time in reading this profile. If you do make it
give yourself a round of applause. =)
