Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Sometimes the perception's in the eye of the beholder can be quite
misleading. So like Grandmom use to say, "never judge a book by its
cover". I'm a disabled, divorced, single parent of a son who is now
raised. He's a great guy who I'm very proud of. Now, since he's
raised, I'd like to find a love interest to move forward with in my
life. I'm not here to evoke a sympathetic heart because of my
situation, I'm here to find a heart that I'm compatible with in
spite of it. My name is Joe. I was partially paralyzed from a
diving accident but have since adjusted to my situation and try to
live my life as actively as possible, yes, in a wheelchair. I
believe that things happen for a reason (all cliches aside) and
that we can adjust to whatever crises are presented to us in life.
I try to stay optimistic regardless of the challenges ahead and try
to convey this attitude to the teens I work with. I drive an
accessible van so I do get around pretty well. So please don't park
in the handicapped spots if you don't have a placard, we are out
there and would appreciate the courtesy. :-)
I would like a long term relationship eventually but am open to
just dating as well to see if we really connect and see how things
evolve. One thing I'd like to mention. If you send me a message and
I fail to respond please don't take offense. It's most likely
because I'm not interested. I've sent many messages to women who
peaked my interest without them responding back and completely
understand. I'd expect that same understanding to be reciprocated.
Thanks for reading my profile.
By the way, took the Okcupid persona test and came out The "Slow
Dancer" . Go figure that one out lol. ;-P
