My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Riding my bike from one hipster coffee shop to the next.

Free thinker, calculated risk-taker. Writing code, making music, dancing, and probably not sleeping enough.

I ended up in SF after growing up in the low lands of windmills, wooden shoes and similar endlessly exciting things. The Philippines and NYC have been my home for a while, and I'll probably find some more in the future. But for now, definitely not leaving SF.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to do something important and humane while enjoying and experiencing the world. Writing code and startups is what I know, so that's typically my avenue of choice. Also very interested in health tech, taking baby steps now to move into that field.

When I get the chance, I travel to some unconventional destination.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Racing around town from one hipster coffee roastery to the next.

Just making it to the train.

Executing spontaneous plans.

Just missing the train.

Setting course.

Eating ice cream sandwiches, apparently. Some people say eating 6 ice cream sandwiches in 10 minutes can't be done. You must not believe them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've noticed that around the world I'm now immediately classified as American. Guess I lost my European-ness.

In the literature section one of my favorite writers is Michel Houellebecq. His work is so awesomely controversial.

TV Shows? House of cards, and game of thrones. That's about it, really.

I like electronic music, but also jazz, salsa and classical when I'm in the mood for it. Joris Voorn to Mozart to Simon & Garfunkel to Ella Fitzgerald.

Thai green curry? Yum! Also, sharp cheeses. Also, mild goat cheeses. I could go on...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee, a passport, sarcasm, road bikes, intellectual conversation, an open mind
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The deferred life plan, and why we keep falling for it.

How to make things simpler.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends in a bar talking about living forever, or DNA manipulation, or nutrition, or traveling to Antarctica.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I got a pedicure once, for no particular reason.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're an optimist. This is important.

Also, you're intelligent, driven, and ambitious. If you can't entertain a conversation that's not about TV or sports or the weather, we'd both get bored quickly.
