My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am awesome, enlightened, and completely lost

Heya, I'm Ronald (Rho for short). I work in various cities (currently in Ede) as a (freelance) consultant. I'm damn good at it, which makes it possible for me to do what I like. Apart from the IT stuff, I'm a problem solver.

[small update: 22-5-2015]: I am currently on a mission (and a two weeks break) to massively de-clutter my life. I might not be quick to reply (but I will end up with a very spacious house. Yay!)

I'm European (and Dutch at that) and a few stereotypes probably apply. I'm a Chinese (fire) Dragon, but I don't belief in astrology. I'm not a real "Lone Wolf" yet sometimes I venture out by myself.

I don't "watch TV" but like documentaries about nature. I do have some favourite shows I'm watching on my laptop. I dislike watching sports, but I swim and do some indoor climbing, slack-lining, and when I get my bike fixed, riding a bike. I'm also keen on skying and snowboarding. I try my hand at (fire)Poi and fire-staff spinning.

I am polyamorous (polygamous, non-monogamous; Take your pick, but 'Open Relationship' doesn't cut it), involved with some(one) (a V-relationship), so I am committed, but not exclusive. Kinky and kinkfriendly, have a healthy interest in bdsm ('top' if you have to label, but more a hedonist). I'm on Fetlife. It's not a main dish. Most people around me know this, as I tend to be very open about it.
I'm a bit of an experience junky ;)

I prefer my bed-fun to be rough and dirty (and the toys clean)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living... And taking my bloody time to do just that.
No rush. Just everything at once.

I started a second education Master Computer Science. I thought it'd be fun, but that didn't quite work out with my working schedule. Live a little \o/ If opportunity would call, I'd continue with that one, though. I also enrolled in a course about insects (named "Insects and Society") at the University of Wageningen, because opportunity presented itself. (it was rather awesome)

I like to drive through a puddle of water, making it splash. You gotta enjoy the little things ;)

I have been to a few countries, some of them I'd like to visit again (like Santa Martha, Parque Tayrona). Canada and a few Asian countries do peak my interest. I still need to go to New Zealand.
And Madagascar.
... oh, the list is endless :D
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...Being confronting. 'Tact' is not one of my virtues ;)
...Laughing. I see a positive side in most things. (I also see a lot of smiley faces everywhere)
...Dancing 'till the sun comes up.
...Skipping sleep.
...Impulsive and spontaneous little 'plans'.
...Writing big profiles :o

I noticed that I am a -very- sloppy typer/texter on my phone
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
...My singular dreadlock with bead ♥
...I seem "to care" (too much. I'm trying to do that less)
...I use creative analogies for describing situations ;)
...I actually read someones profile.
...I look different on all my photos (as I do irl).
...I'm pretty astonishing at remembering faces.
...I usually reply somewhere in the middle of the night.
...hmmm what else

Someone recently said I had a "responsive body". What a compliment! :o

Music ♫ ♪ ♬
I'm more and more inclined to listen to electronic music. Psychedelic trance and its more relaxed brother Goa, Drum & Bass and its loungier genre Dubstep, and IDM. Especially when it manages to convey emotions and feelings, without using words. I like music that does not 'impose' a story, where you can make up your own.
For the more mainstream-oriented people: I like Depeche Mode, U2, Madonna, Duran Duran, and lots more. Yet if you ask me about music, I usually go for the instrumental and/or electronic music, first.
(D'n'B) Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Spor, Future Prophecies, ...
(IDM) Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Toytronic
(Goa) Shpongle, Electric Universe, Ott, ...
(Ambient) Solar Fields, Aes Dana, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Phutureprimitive, Bersarin Quartett, ...
(Psychedelic Rock) Some Zappa, Ozric Tentacles, Hydria Spacefolk
(Jazz kinda stuff) Amon Tobin, Rinneradio, Nils Petter Molvaer, ...
(Dub) Dub FX, ...
(Various others) Sven Vath ("Harlequin, Robot, Balletdancer" and its remix CD "Touch themes"), Leonard Cohen (with whiskey), Leftfield, Alanis Morisette (only some of her songs), Sigur Rós, Beardyman, ...
(Soundtracks) Amelie, The Last Samurai, Collateral, K-Pax, Gardenstate (Especially 'Let Go'), The Fountain, The Piano, Hero, ...

Movies ©
I like movies a lot. Sci-Fi, Thriller, braintwisters, ... Inception, The Bucket List, Amelie, Moulin Rouge, Frida, Random Pr0n, Lost Highway (I think), Aliens (meaning: the second), Tank Girl, Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory (the original one with Gene Wilder), The Last Samurai, Gardenstate, Lost in Translation, The Fountain (holy cow!), Hero, Eat Pray Love, ...

Series ♠♢♣♡
I have a few favourite TV Series, but mainly downloaded for easier viewing (when I want to, no commercials :D )
The Mentalist, Lie to Me, Fringe, Heroes (first season), Veronica Mars, Bleach (the first story-arc mostly), Big Bang Theory, Once Upon a Time, Gossip Girl, House of Lies, True Blood, ...
My friend bought the whole Battlestar Galactica on blu-ray, and I've seen the whole 4 seasons with him. Enjoyed it a lot.

Books § ©
I like reading science oriented books. The more outside-the-box metaphysical, or Social and behavioural psychology. (I have no degree in these fields.) is a place I frequently visit.
In reading material I prefer fiction over non-fiction. I like seeing all the social dynamics of human nature being reflected in non-human social structures and characters. I'm impressed when someone actually manages to describe something really 'alien'.
Shogun, De Naakte Aap (The Naked Ape), Shitloads of Terry Pratchett (but mostly 'Small gods' and 'Thief of Time'), Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, Celestine Prophecy, Life of Pi, Liefde (Love) By Mark Mieras, "Gödel, Escher, Bach" (ongoing endeavour), The Red Queen, R. Dawkin's stuff, I Am A Strange Loop, It's not you it's biology, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, ...
I am also a fan of good written graphic novels: Maus, Signal to Noise, Lucifer's Halo, Strangers in Paradise, ...
I highly recommend all of these.

Food ☺ ☕ ♨
Foreign, Thai, Spicy food, Meat, Vegetarian (I like cooking with nuts), Indian, Indonesian, Garlic, Curry's, Greek, Turkish, Deserts like Tiramisu, Ice cream (usually the fruit-flavoured like lemon, Framboise)

Festivals ♫ ☼ ≈
The festivals that I visit all have in common that they have this Free Spirit attitude. I meet the most interesting people at festivals like these. I also have the uncanny ability to remember faces, so one or two year later I'll meet them again. Sometimes in a completely other (unexpected) setting. The more mainstream festivals like Lowlands or Sziget don't interest me that much at the moment.
I have been dubbed a (new age) hippie, like a slightly younger version of this guy. I do like going to a lot of those parties, and I do like that hippie setting. But I'm exceptionally grounded.

Vuuv, Boom, Ozora, Solstice, Ruigoord, LVC Leiden, Waldfrieden Wonderland, SUN Festival... If these names mean anything to you, you are on the right track ;)

Artist ❦ ✎
Artists aren't something people put in their profiles, here. I figured I might as well do just that ;) If you don't know about them, you should look them up. There is no order in them, I like them all for different (but usually explicit) reasons.
Alphonse Maria Mucha, Gustav Klimt, Gaudi, Dali, Boris Vallejo, Luis Royo, Alex Grey, Luke Brown, Andrew 'Android' Jones, Jae Lee, Joseph Michael Linsner, ...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(I can haz seven. "Rules is other people")

Due to popular demand, 'some' order of importance
love, sex, music, food(y), friends, internet (+laptop), art
OK, I admit. 'love' before 'sex'. Sue me.

Obviously this place is meant to describe you as a person, not to define what any living creature would need. But I did include food: Food tells you so much about the country you are in, or the person who's eating it. I like food, a lot. Especially things I haven't had before. I like experimenting in the kitchen (and outside of it).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The world, people, how people only differ ever so slightly from animals (and that it shouldn't be considered a bad thing!)...

LGBT issues, feminism, and mainstream feminism

A world without chocolate... That would be bad...

What do people mean when they say they are 'open minded'...

What's with all the "I'm looking for somebody who is single" ?
(Think about it)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...clueless as to where I end up.
Same goes for saturdays, too.
The rest of the week isn't that much more coherent, outside work.

I could be reading a book, fanatically clicking away on youtube-clips about animals, dancing, watching my favourite series, watching a movie, going to a friends house to chill, having friend over to chill at my place, listening to music in my own cocoon, drawing, painting, making chai, wandering about in some forest or other natural habitat, practicing circular breathing, going out, partying, ...

I'm open to suggestions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I did it in a public park. On the grass. Well before sundown. People were about (a few).

I am noisy ;)

Apparently I'm addicted to Tic Tac; I daren't look into how unhealthy this might be.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Actually, I'm kind of a real-life person. Though I really enjoy long email conversations that sometimes resemble chats, my main intention -here- is to actually meet in person. My goal is to actually meet you.

About being polyamorous; If you're the kind of person who gets jealous when your boyfriend looks at someone else, well, you have to consider what my view on relationships means to you.

And added to the list "I'm looking for" (and to hopefully stop my mailbox from flooding), I'm looking for 2 or more of these qualities:
• Intelligence
• Sexuality
• Self-esteem

Just found another thing:
Apparently I dig girls who buy "pants with (functional) pockets". That seems to say a lot about the type I like.
