I am truthful, logical, and extroverted.

My Self-Summary

I saw this on another profile and liked the idea of a list (mainly because I love making lists):
-I am a very independent woman with high aspirations in life.
-I am originally from the Netherlands.
-I have traveled to 23 countries and plan on visiting many more.
-I'm a city person who is very sociable but also doesn't mind staying in.
-If I don't have my agenda, I have no clue where I need to be.
-I'm learning to cook and have done very well, but desserts are my specialty.
-My dvds are alphabetized.
-I tend to research many subjects on my own even though it is not required for any of my classes. For instance, I would like to learn more about, and develop, a better curriculum for higher education as well as primary education. I'm also interested in America's increasing problem with debt.
-Old school video games rock. I will whoop anyone's butt at Mario.
-I love playing games like air hockey or board games but I'm very competitive. Don't mind the yelling, it's all in good fun.
-I hate movies that use "so stupid it's funny" humor. Really, it's not that funny. Napoleon Dynamite and just about any Will Ferrel movie fall into this category.
-My friends, family, and dog mean the world to me.
-I like weird names.
-Ketchup, peanut butter, and anything that swims will not make an appearance in my diet.
-Speaking of diets, I've never been on one.
-I love office supplies. There is just no explanation for that, just go with it.
-I usually forget to turn on the TV even though I've written down when the shows I like are on.
-If you can make me laugh, I'm all yours.
-I tend to date older men. Usually the men I date are between the ages of 27-35. I've never really gotten along with people my own age and most of my friends are older as well.
-I am honest to a fault. You may not like what I have to say, but at least I was honest.
-I love sports. Football (both American and soccer) are my favorites. I love tackling people. I think baseball and golf are more boring than spending the next twenty years in a nursing home.
-I've never had a guy buy me a drink at a bar. I've had the opportunity but it's just not my style. I don't want to use someone and I'm not going to talk to you for a silly reason like that. If I like you, I'll talk to you.
-I dream about Bodega's grilled chicken paninis (without the spinach).
-If you want to impress me, be honest, intelligent, and most importantly, be yourself.
Now before you go on, I feel I must warn you- I'm a bitch, I will hurt you. There's my disclaimer.

What I’m doing with my life

I just received my bachelor's degree from OSU. I majored in Communication, specializing in Strategic Communication with minors in business and economics. I'll also received an associate's degree in Finance. Before obtaining my MBA, I plan on working as a consultant. I would also love to learn a little more about carpentry and cars. I love trying new things although I haven't had any time as of late because I have been getting approval to take more credit hours than allowed.

I try to take trips whenever I can. I love to travel and would like to visit many more countries and cities while I can still enjoy it. In the past year I've visited friends in Baltimore, Chicago, San Diego, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, and Florida. I also went to the Netherlands this past winter to visit my family and friends.

I’m really good at

I'm good at making a fool out of myself. I'm a natural-born klutz. If the door has been there since I've moved in, I'll still run into it. I love figuring out how things work and how to fix them.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm not really sure what people first notice about me. I guess you'll have to meet me and let me know.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love anything by Amy Tan, Erma Bombeck, Arthur Hailey, and Tom Sharpe. Other than that, it depends on the book. My favorite types of movies are comedies.
My favorite movie is Weekend at Bernie's. I also love watching documentaries, but I promise I won't subject you to that (especially since you'll distract me from taking notes). I like watching movies I've never heard of that look interesting although past experience tells me that there's a reason I haven't heard of it.
I enjoy all kinds of music, there are just certain songs or artists I don't care for. I especially like O.A.R., Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and the Beatles. I suck at knowing the names of songs or artists, but once I hear a song I can recognize it as one I like.
I'm definitely not a health nut but fortunately I've been blessed with good genes. I eat a lot of fried foods, ice cream, and donuts but I balance it out with fruits and vegetables.

The six things I could never do without

1. My dog
2. A toothbrush
3. My agenda
4. My family and friends
5. Books and other forms of information
6. Nothing else, I firmly believe in noting the difference between wants and needs.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think a lot about the future. Mainly assessing my goals and working out my plans to achieve my goals have been my main concern for the past few years. I also think a lot about how I wish the world were and how I can push it in that direction.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually I am out with friends unless I have work to do, then I'll stay in and get it done. Some Fridays I like to stay in and watch movies or have a game night with my friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I suck at relationships and tend to hurt the people I love most. There's my warning label.

On the other hand, I do make a great significant other. I can be sweet and caring when I want to be, but I also won't let my S.O. get away with anything. If I think they aren't working towards their full potential, I will tell them. I am extremely straight forward and want someone who is the same. I hate games which seems to be what dating is all about in this day and age. I don't care for drama and games, so just be honest with me and I will be as well.

You should message me if

If you know how to spell, can speak properly, think you can make me laugh and have goals in life, then message me.
