I'm a very social person; I hate wasting time home alone. I love hanging out with friends at a bar, or just relaxing at home with a few drinks playin silly drunk games. I like to go on trips and check out new areas. My last trip was to Spain and France and met up with a friend from Sweden Celc. It was loads of fun seeing other countries! Going to Sweden this January! Also into bicycling but I need to get a new one, left my last one at my undergrad apartment. I'm a big nerd, so I love to design electronic stuff and solve problems. Biggest life goal would be to design the cubical USB-missile defense system.

I'm an R&D Electrical Engineer. I like my job a lot, but I'm the kind of person who leaves work at work. I step out the door and its out of sight out of mind.

Also working on a masters (in EE) part-time after work. So far it's pretty cool, mostly intro stuff though for now.

I'm looking to make some new friends and hopefully a lasting relationship too!

I spend some of my free time going to movies with friends, drinking casually with friends, lots of partying on weekends lately :), trips around California, wine tasting, playing with my cat, at the gym, surfin the web, reading about whats goin on in the world.

Listening! My math teacher once yelled at me for listening to my friend who wouldn't shut up in class. (He neglected to yell at my friend for talking too much)

Also I love playing hockey

I'm good at anything to do with math and electronics too.

I cook real food! Not hot pockets! Usually some marinated steak/chicken/fish and some kind of rice, noodles, or potatoes with a salad

I make a mean margarita too

I say what I'm thinking and I'm very laid back. I love to make fun of everything, and I don't get upset when people make fun of me. My humor is often blunt and can include jokes a lot of people would find offensive. Don't take it too seriously and have a fun time :)

I'm a giant who towers over most people. Comes in handy when I need to plow through a group of people. Sucks riding in small cars.

Sometimes my friends draft behind me in crowds because I leave a wake of empty space.

Books: I like political books such as 1984, Brave New World and Slaughterhouse Five. It's nice when a book has a point, or a message to deliver. On a side note, the Ender's Game quartet is awesome.

Movies: Fight Club, Matrix 1 (pretend the other 2 dont exist), Star Trek, Superbad, Office Space, Waiting, the Saint.

TV Shows: Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Lost, Family Guy, South Park, Parks and Recreation, Scrubs, Office, Tudors, X-Files. Big Bang Theory probably the greatest, so many witty and nerdy references.

Music: Nine Inch Nails, Bush, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Linkin Park, Live, Alice in Chains, ... list goes on for a bit, but basically alternative rock from the 90s. I didn't listen to music a whole lot in the 90s, but when I did after 2k that's what I ended up liking. I like music where the singer's voice is a part of the music, not just a speech overlaid on top of a beat. (some rap is okay, but it will probably never be on my zune)

Food: Surf n Turf! Mexican food. Pasta in general. Mongolian BBQ is pretty bomb too. I'm writing this while having a huge craving for it though. I like trying new things, but I've been known to be somewhat picky. I'm a meat-eater!

Web comics: xkcd, dilbert, garfieldminusgarfield.net , cyanide and happiness. web comics are a work day morning ritual :)

Random political stuff. I read BBC news, Al Jazeera, Economist, and such online every day. I like to see what the rest of the world is doing. Gives a fresh perspective when it comes time to vote for stuff here. Also interesting stuff to talk about. I'd want to be with somebody who could hold up a conversation about something political and not get upset. (Like if I disagreed on universal healthcare or something)

Could America defend itself if the entire world declared war on it and Nukes were somehow made inert by aliens?

Also of great importance: how best to go about offering Britney Spears up as a sacrifice to the Norse gods. It must be done carefully as not to offend them.

With friends drinking at a party in some random town in California. San Fran and Sacto area win out the most. Lots of Beer Pong baby! Playing some drinking game like apples to apples or w/e. Sometimes bars too, but I like the sit down ones where we can chat and drink. Occasionally doing really nerdy stuff like Risk (the board game) with some high school buddies. I did say I was a nerd right?

I work at 'Initech' like in the movie Office Space. We have TPS reports, and for the first few weeks I worked here I sat by the telephone support people who would always answer the phone exactly the same way. And until some recent 'work force management' I had 3 bosses that I had to keep in touch with.

I'm pretty space cadet sometimes too. If I was thinking about something and you came up and said something, chances are it'd take me a few extra seconds to respond as I finish my thought.

You want to meet somebody fun, even if just as a friend. I'm always looking for people to chat with or hang out with in the Bay Area. I haven't been here long as I graduated last March, and moved up here for work in April.

I'd really like to meet somebody who can laugh at jokes about herself, and isn't afraid to make fun of me. Somebody who can initiate a conversation instead of just listening. Has their own life and doesn't need to do everything with me, but likes to do a lot of things together.

Also a penpal who speaks French would be awesome. My French is pretty horrible, but I'd like to improve it.
