Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I came to Boston 3 years ago for grad school, finished my Masters
and took a year off to travel and work in Switzerland. Now back for
my PhD since I love this city so much. I will say that I wish there
was better BBQ and Mexican food here though.. And bigger mountains
- after Switzerland, the Whites have lost a bit of their
I enjoy doing things on a whim and am a bit of goofball - expect
witty comments with a hint of sarcasm. Tend to live a healthy
lifestyle - run/bike/climb/dance; eat healthy when I'm alone but am
a glutton with friends.
My priorities in life are pretty simple - friends/family/(you?!),
knowledge, and career, essentially in that order.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Since finishing the M.S, took a year off to find my true path -
decided that I love school so much that 3 more years of being in a
lab was the way to go. But really determined that a PhD is needed
to go where I want to go.
Working on propulsion system (the jet engine type) research and
design optimization (a mouth full isn't it?). And yes, it's at MIT
- where else could I work on such a project?
Learning languages are Duolingo or finding other ways to improve
Also spending way too much time trying to figure out how to get the
space and time to get a dog. Berger blanc suisse!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting motivated to do stupid or spontaneous things - great skill
I also consider myself a pretty decent cook and
Also an amazing fitness nerd, I even made a powerpoint for it once
if you want it...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably the fact that I'm always smiling.. I swear my mouth can't
make a frown - its physically impossible. I made people from
Germany and Switzerland uncomfortable because of it too.

Alternative and Indie rock/pop are my obsessions... along with
Books: Almost any autobiography/biography, I find people
fascinating. If I could get my hands on Sled Driver, I'd read that
in a day. I really need to read more.
Movies: Top Gun, Fast and Furious franchise, anything
Schwarzenegger (Yeah, I'm into really good movies!). Also strangely
love Keanu movies.
Food: I will eat anything and everything from the basics like a
steak to the exotic like insects or brain if the occasion arises. I
refuse to eat sea cucumber however, that stuff is disgusting.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Beauty (actually not that hard to find)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to improve myself or what to eat next. When I'm feeling
philosophical, I think about the intricacies of everyday human

Also this sounds cheesy, but how I can make an impact in the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Spending time with friends, either in a bar, on a roof or cooking
up some dinner.
Or just sleeping so I can wake up early Saturday to go conquer a
mountain or make it out somewhere for the sunrise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sleep with my giant stuffed dolphin. His name is Dolphin. And my
maximum heart rate is 206.. I know, it's quite big.
