I am a 58 year old divorcing mother of three boys with a PhD in molecular biology (no, not the boys - me). Other than enjoying my family and friends, I feel that my life has been characterized primarily by a love of learning. There is always something new and interesting to explore. In addition, I believe strongly in a moral code based on love, kindness, acceptance and understanding. Although I have recently been at home raising my kids, they are older now (only one left at home) and I am excited to be re-entering the world of scientific research, hopefully studying the neurobiology of autism. I enjoy cooking and baking (though I like to go to restaurants), am a die-hard fan of the Red Sox and enjoy going to movies and plays. I love gardening, going on walks in the woods and going camping. I absolutely love to travel. Last summer I went with my 17 year old son on my dream trip to the Galapagos - fabulous! My next trip is to Mongolia in June.
What I am looking for in a partner...
You are sensitive and empathetic, but have a ready wit; strong, yet gentle. You enjoy a good meal, like to travel, go to the gym regularly or otherwise stay fit. You are liberal politically, generous and have a curiosity about the natural world. Your kids have a special place in your heart. You are educated and love seeing new things and places. You care about the world we live in. You enjoy your job, but can leave it at the office. You enjoy spending time with your friends, including me.
I'd just like to add...
My garden gives me great pleasure, as does the rest of the natural world. I work out 3-4 times weekly. I love both eating out and eating in. Let's go to movies and plays, travel the world together.
