What do I like to do in my free time? Totally depends. Sometimes
after a long week at work I just like to kick back, watch
sports/tv, catch up on some sleep, and take it easy. Sometimes I
like to be adventurous. Laying on the beach is great for a couple
days… and then it gets old for me… quickly. I like golf (grew up
playing) and sailing. I like to work out as much as I can, usually
a mix of running and swimming. I actually ran my first half
marathon this spring. I spent the majority of my time growing up in
and around the water, and love water sports in general.
Food: Just about everything (read: swimmer). I'm pretty adventurous
too. I've tried a lot of stuff -- and I usually go back for
seconds. I love seafood.
I drink for the occasion. I like whiskey/bourbon and good beers.
Extra points if you know what Sweetwater is. My go-to when I'm out
is either a Jack straight on the rocks or a Jack and Ginger.
Music: Alt rock and country for the most part. My current running
playlist has a lot of The Killers, Muse, Oasis, Zac Brown Band,
Mumford & Sons. 90's/early 2000's hip-hop is my guilty
pleasure. I play acoustic guitar when I have time -- or just to
clear my head.
TV: The League, Arrested Development, Suits, White Collar, Archer,
How I Met Your Mother, and The Colbert Report.
Movies: I like comedies, thrillers, and movies that make you think.
Anchorman to Star Trek and everything in between. I'm not into
Travel: Highlights include Italy, Switzerland, France, Denmark,
China, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Alaska. I've hit most, but not all,
of the 50 states (which is a goal). The list of places that I'd
like to visit is too long to mention here. But, I'd like to do the
Eurotrip I never was able to do in college. Near-term trips I'm
looking into are climbing Kilimanjaro and sailing in the BVI.
