My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Apparently I excel at neglecting to fill out my self-summary.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Gardening, traveling, hiking, brewing beer, guitar-ing, scheming (!)... pretending I don't have a job.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Incessantly interjecting pointless witicisms.
Finding it awkward to brag about myself on okcupid.
Awkward pauses.
Saving the world from complete destruction (proof? it hasn't happened yet has it?).
Punctuation;
Scrabble.
Creating an endless list of life dreams.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I guess the thing that gets the most mention is my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorites lists are usually out-dated by the time I'm done figuring them out. Some of these are just recent ones I've enjoyed, others long-time favorites...

Books: The Satanic Verses, Salman Rushdie; Tenting To-night, Mary Roberts Rinehart; The Culture of Make Believe, Derrick Jensen; Widening Circles, Joanna Macy; Illuminatus, Robert Anton Wilson; Hitchhiker's series, Douglas Adams; Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, Barbara Kingsolver; Cities of Salt, Abdelrahman Munif; the Foxfire books

Movies: I'm really not a movie person. It will definitely annoy you that I haven't seen ______, don't say I didn't warn you. I love Lebowski, Empire Records (both incredibly quotable); Dr Horrible and Serenity (Joss Whedon is awesome); Dark City; Contact; gawd, I don't even remember most of the movies I've seen anymore.

Shows: Battlestar Galactica was the best thing ever on TV; anything by Joss Whedon was a close second; Veronica Mars; I loved to hate Lost; Arrested Development; Roseanne, the last true working-class show; Daria; Invader Zim.

Food: My absolute favorite "ethnic" foods are Lebanese and Vietnamese. American food culture has been horribly gutted but there is a lot to love.

Holy crap I completely left out music! You'll notice the list varies... a lot.

Kelli Rudick! Kaki King, Michael Hedges, Mono, Fredrik Thordendal, Rasputina, David Bowie, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Mike Garson, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, The Roots, Blue Scholars, Radiohead, Elliot Smith, Björk, The Books, Fantomas/Mr Bungle/Tomahawk/Mike Patton, Secret Chiefs 3, The Mars Volta, Fiona Apple, Kate Bush, Portishead, Flaming Lips, Soul Coughing, Sunny Day Real Estate, Anthony Stewart Head (yes, he did an album!), Autolux, Outkast, Tool, They Might Be Giants, System of a Down, Paul Simon, Talking Heads, Violent Femmes, Morphine, Vieux Farka Touré, Tori Amos, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, ¡TchKunG!, Natacha Atlas, Teargas & Plateglass, Blind Melon, Brian Eno, Jeff Buckley, A Perfect Circle, Erykah Badu, Battles, PJ Harvey, Meat Puppets, Iron & Wine, Ritalin, Pixies, Ani DiFranco, Toadies, Blackalicious, The Dead Science, Siouxsie.

Uh... sorry.
