I'm interested in radical and
anarchist political activism and
human rights,
I've been a dedicated activist for over 10 years. I'm also
interested in biology and
neuroscience, particularly head
trauma, and I have worked as an EMT. I studied psychology in
college because I wanted to figure people out a bit, and I still
think it's really fascinating. I've recently begun teaching myself
to program in PHP, I have been teaching myself Spanish on and off
for several years.
My life partner
xap9 and
I recently opened up our relationship of >7 years to
polyamory. I'm not
interested in dating but am very interested in making friends and
talking to other people about their experiences with poly or
whatever else.

Now in Spanish
Soy una activista radical hace 10 años y me interesa el
anarquismo. También me
interesa psicología, neurología y biología, y he trabajado en una
ambulancia como primero auxilio. He empezado ultimamente enseñarme
PHP y he estado enseñandome español a ratos hace varios años (y me
gustaría tener con quien practicar la lengua). Mi compañero
xap9 y yo hemos
recientemente cambiado nuestra relación en el poliamor. No quiero
otras relaciones romanticas ahora pero me gustaría encontrar amigos
y tener conversaciones sobre el poliamor o cualquier otro asunto.
Going to start an activist collective to work on radical issues
like housing and human rights. Toward this end, just moved to
Atlanta at the end of May, just bought a very old house in need of
massive repairs. So working on the house and trying to get plugged
into activism here. And trying to give away the old junk the house
is full of!
I have a crappy van that runs (for some values of 'runs') on
vegetable oil. I've learned an awful lot in the process of
converting it (e.g. looping the return is a bad idea!) and I'll
tell you all about it if you're curious or interested in converting
a vehicle yourself.

I'm not sure, probably most of them think I'm weird because I don't
dress any semblance of normal.
My favorite author was
Orson Scott Card until he wrote
Empire--forgiveness for that crap will be a long time coming. Now
it's
Neal
Stephenson probably. Or
Octavia Butler.
Neil Gaiman is also a
favorite, and
Daniel Quinn. Dunno much about
movies, but I did like Dirty Pretty Things.
Leonard Cohen is probably my
favorite musician. Either him or
The Coup. Also like
Dead Prez, Paris (the rapper,
not... you know.),
Dire Straits, the
Violent Femmes and
all eighties music. I like food that's free and vegetarian (I'm a
freegan).
For decades, Texaco has dumped billions of gallons of toxic
wastewater and spilled millions of gallons of crude oil on the
lands of indigenous people in the Ecuadorean Amazon, threatening
the health and survival of the people and cultures. Sign an email

OK, you must understand this in the context of how I'm supposed to
be this badass EMT who's not grossed out by anything: on two
occasions while watching people get stitches, I came close to
fainting. I wasn't aware of having an emotional reaction to it (can
you have an emotional reaction you're not aware of?) but my vision
started going black and I started pouring sweat, the whole bit. I
was thinking "no way, I'm not squeamish! This cannot be happening!"
You want to make a friend or talk about whatever, I'm always up for
a good conversation.
Or if you can recommend a book for me to read in Spanish. It has to
be fairly easy and interesting enough to keep me reading even
though I have to stop and look up words. Unfortunately I'm out of
Harry Potters.
