Is sex an issue to discuss?

Realizing that the rest of world talk about sex on open table, (at breakfast, lunch, dinner, family meeting, work, ect..)but someone in the greatest country in the world AMERICA, once you mention the word s.e.x. everyone has a freaking out tendency.

No one wants to talk about it, or find it inappropriate, or feeling uncomfortable debating the subject. I wonder why?
Is the word itself that creepy, or are we just so deeply CLOSE MINDED that we cannot afford to discuss the things that we do behind close doors everyday?

sophomore year in college, = last year. lol a prof of mine (biology of sexuality) walk in the class & ask "WHO HAS A DD? "DD=DILDO" all the girls scream "oooOOOOH MY GOSH" (no one put their hands up)but @ the end of the semester, she ask the same question, & we found out: EVERY FREAKING GIRL IN THAT CLASS HAVE A DILDO.

An image of SilverWings I don't want to know people like that, but I know he's almost right to some extent. How many times do you read on profiles something along the lines of "don't talk to me about sex" with the implication that if you do it must be because you're a desperate perv?

An image of ExposedNeck I'm pretty sure most people (women) who say "don't talk to me about sex" in their profiles are generally just sick of weird internet men sending them explicit messages. I have something in my profile about not mentioning sexual fetishes to me because I've been on the internet long enough to have more than a few men ask me to spank them, diaper them, let them lick my toes, pee on them, allow them to pee on me, etc.

An image of eatgrlout2 Noo...my approach was not specifically "ON this SITE" I'm talking about it in "GENERAL" meaning: Family wise. example: "how well can you explain to your little sister, or little brother if they ask you a question on it" in a college class debate for example. I however do understand the lack of communication skills among young fellas out there make it really hard to approach the ladies without appearing to be creepy & all; but do we somehow think if we were more open to certain subject that will reduce, or exclude the creepiness appearance?
