I'm a very genuine, caring mid-western/east coast guy looking for someone with whom to laugh...hard, be silly, use proper grammar, and have a nerf fight or two. I take pride in my wit, even when it's dull, and am always looking to sharpen it against others. I'm incredibly driven and ambitious, hence I'm working extremely hard to get to where I want to be. But for as serious as that sounds; everything's a punchline. Poop joke!
I've been accused of being a hopeless romantic as I love to cook, play piano, draw and read. I'm a history buff, so if it happened in the past, I'm interested. I love baseball history, which is odd because I'm not that big of a baseball fan. Currently, I'm reading anything and everything on espionage history. Honestly, I don't think I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm just hopeless.
My biggest fear, outside of spiders the size of dogs, is that books will soon become antiques, thus I read as many of them as possible because I find it impossible to read on a Kindle or an Ipad. I value an attention span, good conversation, and sharp banter. I can't stand smart phones, despite my inability to live without one. They're smart so people don't have to be and it's f***ing annoying.
I know a lot of this makes me sound like a curmudgeon. Don't worry, I'm not.
Having moved to LA three years ago, I am only now learning to appreciate the city. I love to go out, especially to chill holes in the wall and new restaurants, but always have fun at friends places, talking over good food until it runs out, then talking over good wine or, preferably, Jameson. I'm usually the one dropping quotes from movies no one under the age of 25 has seen or spouting off obscure trivia no one of any age ever needs to know.
I find thoughtfulness and empathy sexy and someone who loves a witty sparring match even sexier. If you can keep up with me, I'll be crazy about you.
Not sure if this paints an accurate portrait or not. All in all, I'm looking to connect.
