My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's try a new site! Looking for compatible partners (wink) for dating, new friends, great conversation, new experiences, and the chance for meaningful connections... I like the enigmatic, eccentric, ecclectic....I think I am those things...more as you get to know me...(most people are)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a systems analyst with a penchant for out of the box systems thinking. I studied biology in college, but meandered into a more computer/technical role. Still looking for the perfect purposeful work, but enjoy my job enough to keep me happy for now.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, imagining, troubleshooting...I have a strong compassionate heart, but I tend to see the world first through a detached and analytical mind. I love the connections between things, and deep emotions. Life is such a mystery, there are is something to be found in every niche of experience.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
bit of a science geek, and love sci fi/fantasy I'm into a large variety of things cerebral or provocative (emotionally, sentimentally, humorously, spiritually...) basically I go from wanting to be entertained by juvenile humor (family guy?) to being inspired or challenged and through it all I want to experience something that connects me to humanity or transcends it... (how about that for a broad non-answer!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
mind/imagination
music
friends/family
spirituality/connectedness
hope/striving for meaning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
futuristic possibilities, the meaning of things (past experiences, synchronicities), how to be a better person/find purpose in life, what an ideal life might look like (with a partner)...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
home, with a glass of wine catching up on the week's TV/sitcoms, or with my family enjoying my young niece & nephew, or occasionaly out at the gay bar/clubs being a wallflower :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
let me ponder this one... I'm pretty open to sharing a lot of myself one on one, but I am all about privacy (especially in the information age!)
