***WARNING/DISCLAIMER : My profile is super long. The way I look at it is, if you truly want to find the love of your life on this type of site, then having a bare bones profile, shitty pictures and only answering a few questions isn't going to get you very far in that search. END OF WARNING/DISCLAIMER***

Let me start by saying I will read your profile and questions if you read mine.

I'm looking for a woman who is smart, confident, good hearted, funny, thoughtful, compassionate, passionate, and basically a good person overall. You get bonus points if you're artistically talented (not a requirement, of course, but if you have some kind of talent, be it, photography, painting, music [oh, to be able to jam with my significant other], acting, etc, it's definitely a gold star for you!).

I tend to gravitate towards "artsy" women with at least a hint of a "dorky/nerdy" streak, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm not into other types of women. When it comes down to it, if we click, we click and that's a damn good start. Hopefully we like looking at each other as well, because I do feel that it's important to be attracted to one another.

Your dog will love me. Your cat will probably dig me as well.

I think we can all agree that no one on this site has any idea what they're doing.

I swear that my pictures are exactly what I look like on any given day.

I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy, but I clean up quite nicely.

I don't have much hair anymore but I do have an awesome shaped head.

Much of this profile is meant to be read with a least a hint of sarcasm and wit, for I occasionally think I am witty. I'm always going for the humorous angle in many situations and if I can make you laugh, then I've done my job.

I don't care what your Myers-Briggs letters are. I didn't even know what that was until this surfing through this site.

I like doing stuff. I like going out. I like staying in. I like expanding my horizons and doing new things. I like doing the same old things. I'm very easy going and understanding.

I'm looking for the spark that everyone keeps talking about.

I am neither glass-half-full nor glass-half-empty. I'm more of a when-did-you-pour-it kind of guy.

I don't play games and I'm very open and honest (and goofy).

Let's do fun stuff together!
Let's do boring stuff together!
Let's get off this damn website!
Let's go exploring!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I work with developmentally disabled adults, creating programs for people that live in group homes, but I'm looking for a career change at the moment.

My real passions are music and film. I play guitar, bass, piano and keyboards, drums, and I write and record my own music.

I made an independent film when I was in my 20's. Took a chunk out of me mentally, physically, and financially so I've been taking a break from indie film making since, but I've been writing again. Right now, I'm working on finalizing the last draft of a horror script that I'm really excited about. I actually think I might be able to sell it, so who knows? UPDATE - 8/13/15 - finished my final draft! Yay! Next step: copyright, then try and sell it and hopefully direct it

At the beginning stages of creating a movies/pop culture themed podcast with a friend of mine. Should be pretty cool once we get everything set up.

One day I'd like to open up my own independent movie theater,
or coffeehouse/bar with a stage,
or a recording studio,
or a place that has all of these things in one kickass building.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being green (they say it's not that easy)
playing music
making sandwiches
figuring out how to play that song you like
pop culture/music/movie/general trivia
making cheesy/corny/awesome statements that make you laugh
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm kinda tall, so it could be that. I've never really asked anyone this. Maybe my eyes? They're silvery blue. One of my earliest memories is from pre-school when my teacher had all of us identify our eye color in the mirror. I was adamant that my eyes were grey. My teacher then informed me that they were indeed blue. Agree to disagree.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - I have too many other hobbies which doesn't give me much time to read books unfortunately. I do like Stephen King though.

Movies - Self proclaimed movie buff. I'll watch just about anything in any genre. It'd be pointless for me to list the movies I like.

TV - I watch only a small handful of TV shows. I'm definitely more of a movie guy. Me and TV have an odd relationship. Favorite shows are The Simpsons (all time fav); Law & Order (original and SVU); Community; Arrested Development; South Park; Modern Family; Bill Maher; Last Week Tonight with John Oliver; How I Met Your Mother; 24; Archer and more

Music - Music is a huge passion of mine. Favorites are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Metallica, Tool, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Beatles, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, David Bowie, Queen, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, anything Mowtown (this is my bar for whether anyone has good taste in music. I mean, how can you NOT like Mowtown?) and more...

Food - I like food. Let's get some food. My favorites are Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Mexican. I don't really eat Indian or Thai or anything super spicy (this whole 'growing old, unable to eat spicy shit' thing is a bitch)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This section left intentionally blank because it's stupid.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Clever little ditties to put in this section.

- OkCupid clearly doesn't know how percentages work. Example: How can we be a 90% match but a 20% enemy? Or a 98% match and a 15% enemy?

- Why certain questions are dealbreakers over others (I usually arrive on time and that's a bad thing? Really? I'm the youngest child and that's a deciding factor in pursuing a relationship? Don't even get me started on the meaning of "wherefore"). Clearly, all of these things are super important when finding a compatible match.

- What constitutes "short term dating?"

- We are never going to be 100% match. There are going to be some things we disagree about. There are going to be some questions that we've answered differently. I'm not perfect. Neither are you. There is no such thing as perfection. Can't we all just....get past the word 'dealbreaker' and actually talk to each other like human beings? Let's embrace our flaws and form something amazing together

- If we had met first in real life, I would clearly be able to tell what you look like. Remember, these profiles are supposed to lead to meeting in real life, so if you have really bad pictures that don't represent how you look in person, then you're just wasting your time on here (it's 2015, every phone has a decent camera now. There's just no excuse). No weird angles, photoshopped or filtered images please.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Celebrating the end of the week in typical Friday fashion
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out! buried deep within the question portion of this profile. Maybe not deep, but it's in there. It's potentially a deal breaker for many of you. I'd hoped it wouldn't be, and that you'd be able to look past it and see me for who I am, but it apparently is. What can you do? Que sera sera.

Obviously this is contingent on whether or not you answered said question.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
-It suits your fancy.

-You made it this far and weren't turned off by any of the above information

-You got some of my humor that I flavored throughout this profile without me having to resort to using emoticons or saying 'lol' at the ends of sentences.

-You are on Long Island or in Queens, Brooklyn, or Manhattan. Staten Island and The Bronx might be just a tad too far. I do have a car, so traveling to you is not an issue for me.

-You actually went through some of my questions (and my profile, for that matter).

-You wrote an equally long profile for the same reasons I did.

-You want something serious.
