My self-summary
Self summary... self summary..........hmmm.... self-summary. I'm drawing a blank. It's not that I'm super-complicated, I just just can't summarize myself right now. I hope that's okay cuz I've been tossing it around for about a year and still... nothing. Major self-summary fail, I know. Next question, please?
What I’m doing with my life
I do lots of interesting stuff, you'll see. It's all very interesting. But I've figured out you can't do happy, you have to be happy. Also, while I thoroughly understand that you deserve a straight answer to the question, I will probably just start babbling incoherently when you ask me, "So, what is it exactly that you do for a living?"
I’m really good at
Well, this one's a little easier. I can produce a low budget movie, edit a funny little vid, write a funny sketch, song, or even a whole musical or a tragically funny personal essay. I'm also very good at entertaining out-of-towners. And I throw an occasional exclusive party. If I felt like it, I could also make a 3-D rendering of a small-sized construction project, perform a one-man show, style a product photo, and/or make a beautiful fountain. In addition to being able to drill down to discover the root of the problem, I can also de-clutter anything. I can negotiate a real estate deal, edit a mean resume, make beautiful and useful things out of crap I found on the street and I can design interiors and exteriors. But if you mean like, "Am I a good listener?" I am. And throw in "snuggling" too while you're at it. Oh, and worrying is a thing I can sometimes be good at. I might add that I'm an extremely good traveling companion and I score a real Bingo about 80% of the time when it comes to attempting a new recipe. And I'm also very good at other things that aren't any of your business yet. Add to that, I can put together the right outfit for any occasion and I'm also good at politely petting your household cat - and packing the truck for a camping trip. And I would also like to say that I'm a good driver (I wanted to put that down for some reason) and I can sing well enough to have been asked to solo in at least three weddings that I can think of right now. That was just a partial list of things I'm really good at. Furthermore, I can do the following things with varying degrees of success: Ikea furniture assembly, sewing curtains with a sewing machine and guessing your sign. Oh and apparently I can ride a bicycle 545 miles in one week without falling over or crying (very much) cuz I just did that this past June.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well how would I know that?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now the in the nightstand pile there happen to be a lot of books with true stories of people who lived in New York City in the 1980's. I didn't mean to make that kind of pile, but there it is. Movies? Well I like everything, but I'm just not that into Tarantino these days, okay? Can we just agree on that for today? I'm also not telling you this right now, but when I'm all alone and I don't think anybody will find out, my remote control will accidentally tune into the Lifetime Movie Network and yes, I know there is something seriously the matter with me because of that. For music, um, is it okay that I love your playlist but also I'm kind of stuck in the 70's? Sorry.--- Food? I like anything that is reasonably put together, but please don't force your sweetbreads on me because I know that is just another word for COWBRAINS!!
The six things I could never do without
Well I think the question is flawed because, like for how long? But I'll take a stab at it and I know I'm being really literal. Here are my picks in chronological order: Gravity; Air; A reason to live; Something to Drink; Something to keep me entertained; Something to Eat; A place to sleep; and if I could please have a bonus "thing I could never do without," I am getting kind of hooked on those new Tide laundry pods.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where is the closest chocolate chip cookie? Is it the chewy kind? Was it made using the original toll house cookie recipe on the package of Nestle chocolate chips? Why would anybody make any other kind of chocolate chip cookie? How many chocolate chip cookies are left? Is there anybody I have to share the current allotment of chocolate chip cookies with? Do they appreciate the chocolate chip cookies as much as I do? Maybe they would like another treat and I could have their chocolate chip cookies AND my chocolate chip cookies. Oops, I ate too many chocolate chip cookies. I don't feel very good. Maybe a chocolate chip cookie would make me feel better. Am I getting fat?
On a typical Friday night I am
On a typical Friday night I am thinking about Mexican food. On an exceptional Friday night, I am eating Mexican food.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I really only have one standby karaoke song ("Brandy, You're a Fine Girl," by the one hit wonders Looking Glass - usually #58-07 in the catalog), and that I really only have one backup karaoke song ("I think I love You," by David Cassidy - I don't know the number to that one). And you already know about my little LMN problem, it's not pretty, but that's the way it is.
You should message me if
If you think you can handle all this (spreads fingers, positions flattened palm in front of face and makes circular gesture while making "mmmhmmmm" face)
