Who am I? I am an active man who is loving and caring, I am a dedicated friend, who is fun and at times funny. Life is good. I love to garden, hike, sit in a home made sauna by a high country lake..., basically I love getting out in the Pacific Northwest's fantastic natural splendor. I am a liberal, an environmentalist, and one who seeks to find the clean side of the dirty glass. I would rather spend my day sitting by and watching a stream rather than sitting in front of a screen. I live close to work to so I Ride bike to work most every day. My work life is full as an educator working with non-verbal Autistic middle school students. I feel healthier than I have in years and would like to share that joy with you.

Trying to live in the now.
My two boys have now moved into homes of their own so I am getting used to being an "empty nester". And I am looking forward to this new found freedom. Perhaps we can share this together?

This is hard one to do..I love to read so lets just lay out some authors: Ivan Doig, Elmore Leonard, Toni Morrison, Wendel Berry, Walter Mosley, Neal Stephenson, Barry Lopez, and recently mostly been reading thriller's.
Music: wow too many, here are a few: Al Di Meola, Bela Flec, J.J. Cale, Dougie Maclean, Jim Page, Mark Knopfler, Stones, Keb Mo, (music with good guitar licks, and singer songwriters as well as World music...my interests expand the globe). Food I enjoy is the same I love it as long as its made well. Especially Thai, good Mexican, and Vietnamese.

What it might be like to be in a new relationship with someone I meet here on OkCupid.

If I'm in then I am probably reading or doing the household chores that we all need to do. If I'm out I may be at a good movie, but no typical Friday exists. I may be getting ready for a trip...or at least dreaming of one. I may be crashed on the couch after a tough week, or I may be coming in from the garden and cooking dinner.
