Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a Canadian who recently arrived in Florida after 10+ years
working in Europe.
I have traveled to more than 100 countries and still love it, but
of course it's much more fun with your soul mate than alone.
My career was my focus for over 20 years, but now I'm much more
interested in health, family, and finding love.
My Sister and her family live in Boca and my Mom, until she
recently passed away, lived here, and these were the primary
reasons why I chose Boca when moving from Europe.
I believe in life it's more important WHO than WHAT. I choose my
friends carefully, and most of them have been friends for a long
time. It also means that making friends in Florida will be a slow
and deliberate process for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am financially very comfortable and have achieved what I wanted
to achieve career-wise.
I think for me my priorities are about finding a real partner/
soul-mate and setting the foundation for happiness in the later
part of my life.
I enjoy working out, hiking trips, skiing, water sports,
mini-vacations... I would love to find someone who wanted to share
this life with me... working out, going out, chilling out, giving
back, seeing new things, getting to know each other.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at pretty much all water sports, and generally love games
(balderdash is the best!, but cards, chess, connect-four, risk, and
all the others still make me smile).
My humor is dry and cutting. Dumb people look confused, but most
people usually find me quite funny.
The first things people usually notice about me

That weird Canadian accent??
A very large comfort zone? (Willing to go first in Karaoke! and my

I LOVE movies, and some might see me as a "movie slut" since I will
go watch almost anything :) short of horror films (though, World
War Z was pretty good...). I enjoy a good summer blockbuster (new
Star Trek film was amazing!), but also a lot of foreign films
(Cinema Paradiso, and Priceless are favorites), even animated (How
to Train Your Dragon was great!), and I like most documentaries
(Waiting for Superman was amazing).
I'm not that big on TV... I enjoy some shows (Good Wife, Boss,
Breaking Bad, Homeland, Game of Thrones, etc) but I won't just sit
and channel surf for hours.
I like to read, especially before bed and I am pretty eclectic in
my reading tastes - from autobiography (Steve Jobs) to non-fiction
(Wild) to Fantasy (Game of Thrones) to Policy (The Benefit and the
Burden) to fiction (Jack Reacher). If you have not read Shantaram,
I HIGHLY recommend it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm not a super-materialistic person, and I'm hard to buy a gift
for because I already have almost all the things I wanted.
My answer here could never be "coffee" or "My IPhone"... it's more
like friends, vacations, and some time in nature every few months
(I like to hike, camp canoe, etc).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm a planner... probably I'm thinking about the plan for the
weekend, or the next vacation ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Boca seems to be oriented to movies and restaurants, but I do love
comedy, like live music, and every few months feel a strong desire
to go dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really like NPR :)
and... I have a thing for pony tails and glasses... basically, when
most girls think they look their worst, I'm usually smitten :)

If you think at all "maybe", I would go for it. At least lunch!
Maybe that's because I'm more of an extrovert and I don't see a big
advantage to staying home alone too much.
And you never know, if not me, maybe my friend, or the guy you bump
into as you leave the restaurant where you meet me... life favors
those who are somewhat bold and open to possibly )
For those far from my zip code, my life is NOT rooted to South
Florida. I came here because some family members live near-by but
for a promising relationship I would come to any part of USA.
