My Notes edit
My Self-Summary
During my stint of mid-west living, I played four years of lacrosse, coached several seasons of youth lacrosse, and lost my virginity. You always lose something when you move.
At twenty-one, I headed to graduate school. Got my MFA in Creative Writing from Florida State circa May 2009. And now I'm back in California undergoing a series of medical exams, dental appointments, and paperwork to hopefully ensure a future via the Peace Corps. When left with closed doors the only option is to revise, revise, revise and possibly later revisit [aka I plan to eventually get my PhD unless something utterly amazing snags me along the way - record deals, lottery winnings, last survivor of nuclear fall out].
The only bone I've broken - my nose - I've managed to break twice. I prefer Red Vines to Twizzlers. I miss cuddling during thunderstorms but have subdued this feeling by becoming the proud mother hen of a blue heeler named Coltrane, who remains the biggest cuddleslut I've ever met.
I consider myself a Jane of all trades. I've always been athletically inclined, yet a klutz. I've played violin, piano, and currently play guitar and tend to call myself a singer/songwriter [if you really want to hear my music - I'll send you a link to my myspace].
I'm stubborn and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to try most things once be it water-skiing, painting, or ventriloquism. Oh, and rumor has it I'm kind of a pessimistic/cynical/adorable person if you stick around long enough.
What I’m doing with my life

(d) So, I've been known to be amazingly picky and definitely to a fault. However, not too long ago I went on a cruise in the Mediterranean and decided to give in and try as much food as possible. So now I have a fond love of salmon, lobster, apple and cheese salad found in Lisbon Portugal. Outside of that I love italian food - probably too much. Pasta, pizza, cheese, thai food and sushi and I'm probably a little too fond of Bruegger's bagels.
The six things I could never do without
- Cheese
- the Internet
- my dog
- my family/friends
- a journal
- lemon lip gloss

You should message me if
...you know the difference between their, there, and they're and you know when to use them.
...you're not looking for just an orifice to stick it in.
...you're looking for friends and don't think we'd cramp each other's style.
...you're a dog person, and one who won't freak out if my dog licks your face.
