I'm originally from Madison, WI, spent some time in Akron, Ohio getting my Masters in Education, lived in Illinois and Columbus, OH before moving to Minnesota. It's been an adjustment shifting from college work to sales but Best Buy has been good to me thus far. I love sports (football, basketball, track, soccer, baseball) and watching them live whenever possible, movies, reading and writing and exploring new cities. My goal is always to find the next best hole-in-the-wall bar or restaurant as well as doing stuff outside when the weather permits. I love my job and educating people on technology and finding the right fit TV, gaming system or appliance makes my work meaningful. I love traveling and exploring, bowling and playing bar games (darts and pool). I approach life with a sarcastic eye finding the best in the worst situations and making making light of hard times and curve balls that are thrown my way. Laughter is truly the best medicine and I don't mind being the butt of a joke if it will make someone smile. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm a sales floor guy at Best Buy in Eagan, Minnesnowta. I sell tvs, home theater, car stuff (speakers, decks, remote starts), all things gaming and appliances. If you ever have a question about tech please ask, there is no stupid question!
I’m really good at
Cracking jokes, listening and offering solid life advise (occupational hazard counseling college freshman!), making people smile, making a woman feel valued and appreciated. Also, Putting others first and knowing the little things that make her smile.
Knowing random trivia, especially history, modern sports and movies and music. Quoting movies and shows that are relevant to my life in that moment.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends on the person, I'd love to hear what it is you notice
first, yours is the opinion I'd value most.
Some say my eyes, some say my smile, others have said my
intelligence, what will YOU notice first?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book- Game of Thrones, V for Vendetta and Jurrasic Park to name a few. I have an English lit degree (and a lot of books in my library at home) and I'm working on reading the classic canon. Includes Tolstoy, Shakespeare, C.S. Lewis, Milton, Melville, Dante, Chaussure. You know, the standard classics! I have made some progress but I have a long ways to go.
Movies- Star Wars, V for Vendetta, Terminator 4, Blazing Saddles, Die Hard 1 and 2 (seriously underrated Christmas movies), transformers, Pacific Rim, anything action, comedy or super hero. I'm partial to DC over Marvel. There are so many more... I cannot wait for Batman/Superman and Suicide Squad, want to come with me?? :)
Shows-Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, seinfeld, Borgias, Di Vinci's Demons, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Fresh off the Boat, Swamp people (guilty pleasure), documentaries on drugs, gangs and underworld culture (also guilty pleasures) History's Top Shot, Doctor Who, Flash, Arrow, Gotham and when it drops Legends of Tomorrow. I currently started on The X Files, the truth is out there!
Music - hip hop, classical, top 40, rock/Metallica. Anything besides country.
Food: I'm willing to try most anything once...
The six things I could never do without
My PS4 and Destiny
Intangibles: laughter, traveling, good conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people do what they do. How to "read" people better and understand people's emotions. The English language and how words change or what new slang words will take over our vernacular.
Also, how I can become 1/2 Fox Mulder and 1/2 The Doctor.
Why when I send a message out why does no one reply?
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably working. Friday's off are rare and I usually close at work. But after closing gaming, binging some show on the 'flix or hulu, getting into some trouble with two of my good friends in the cities, or who knows?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Connoisseur of all things Green Lantern and Assassins Creed. And I have way too many hours tied up in Destiny...
You should message me if
If you like what you read but want to know more.
If you don't mind a few jokes, sarcastic wit, intelligent conversation or just light banter.
If you like when a guy will push you to be better but isn't afraid to call you on your "stuff" but will support you no matter what.
