My self-summary
My imagination is near limitless and I like to put it to good use. I own my own power tools, and can also operate a sewing machine with equal skill.

I'm looking for a person who can turn to laughter when they become too serious. Someone who can take care of himself as well as I can.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a design director who recycles scrap materials into new products. I love my job and the great crew that I work with. I've even written a book on the subject.

I just relocated to Philly from Brooklyn NY for work so could use a good tour guide to show me the city.
I’m really good at
My superpower is the ability to turn anything into a lamp.

I make really good guacamole.

I'm also really good at overusing exclamation points in emails!!!
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Or my hair depending on the shade of red.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books -- anything by David Sedaris, Jonathon Safran Foer. Most recently I read Bossypants by Tina Fey.
Movies -- Amelie, When Harry Met Sally, Little Miss Sunshine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind... lots of sunshine I guess. And cartoons. Especially ones with Johnny Depp's voice.
Music -- old stuff like Etta James, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams. Newer would be Wilco, Radiohead, M Ward, Ingrid Michelson, Matt and Kim.
Food -- delicious, local, fresh things are always tasty.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee. Sunshine. My bike. My iPhone (I'm being honest here). Stripey socks. And fresh vegetables. Yum!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to turn broken things into new and better things. What's for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Eating tasty food with friends. Drinking delicious drinks. Having entertaining conversations. And once in a great while playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I drop off my laundry. I'm typically a very do-it-yourself type person, but find great joy in picking up my laundry all cleaned and folded.
