My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there-Mike here. I like moving, I like moving a lot and preferably quickly. Born in Mexico, raised in Michigan, went to school in Boston, did a year and a half in California, then moved to DC. Type "T" personality here. I hate being bored. My perfect day would go something like: wake up and go for a bike ride, get on a couple roller coasters and then go skydiving. As you can see, I'm a bit of an energized guy.

Similarly, I like being amazed. That's easy to do in this world, just look outside! Analyzing the world is my favorite mental activity and conversation topic; there's so much to discover. This gives rise to my two favorite subjects--physics and philosophy, aided by my primary tools, logic and math.

Don't know exactly where life is taking me right now, I'm trying to figure that out. That being said, I love the thrill of discovering life and it would be nice to share that discovery with someone else (which is why I am here).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moved to the DC area recently from San Francisco (which wasn't really for me). Let's see where this goes... looks to be positive so far! I love being back on the east coast where I belong. For a long while I was preparing to apply to Grad school in Europe, but my mind changed slightly (or majorly) having recently visited said universities.

Trying to learn a lot in my spare time by doing little pet projects. Right now, having finally saved enough money, I'm building my own computer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking for and finding adventures, drifting into my mind, debating the answer to life, the universe and everything, finding and crossing the line.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told my eyes get squinty when I smile. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - 1984, Lord of the Flies, The Catcher in the Rye, The Phantom Tollbooth, American Gods. I also really like to read modern physics books such as The Elegant Universe, The Cosmic Landscape and The Hidden Reality.
Movies - Inception, Memento, Life of Pi, Dogma, Schindler's List (kind of a strange "favorite movie", but it's fantastically well done).
Music - Simon and Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Beatles, ACDC, Aerosmith and Bob Dylan, Vampire Weekend, Radiohead, Gaelic Storm, Glitch Mob, Tycho.
Food - Sushi, hot pot, ramen, pho, Indian food, tacos (I make a killer taco), pizza.
Shows - The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock, most documentaries.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My earphones, travel, food, thinking, sleep, laughing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why the hell we're on this planet. No seriously, it's weird how random the cosmos are and yet we somehow managed to evolve to our current state on this random rock in this random galaxy.

Apart from that, making ends meet, the future, where I want to travel and whatever pet project I'm working on.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Exercising usually. After that, who knows? Usually at a bar with some friends or just chilling at home playing Mario Kart. Or maybe watching some show about the universe.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dream is to work for a roller coaster company or for Intel. Does this have to be an embarrassing fact?

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are genuine and think we have something in common. Or if you think we are polar opposites, can argue your thoughts well, and think we can gain something from talking and experiencing each other.

Also, if you want to walk along the Potomac, chatter and eat, let's do it. If you'd like to go bike riding or skydiving, even better.
