I'm a half Mexican, half Catalan who lived his first 23 years in a house full of books and singing. There I learned to make brothers and sisters of my true friends and to pursue my dreams relentlessly and passionately.
What drives me is my desire to understand. I'm a skeptic at heart, and will try to scrutinize anything through science and reason (up to the most trivial things, which brings the most fun kinds of conversation).
I also love to experience art, music and literature, and to empathize and communicate as much as possible. In the end, every person has a different perspective on what it is to be human, and it is awesome to be able to bridge that gap.
That being said, one has to be able to laugh at how absurd life can be sometimes, and to create your own meaning, or at least, your own sense of humor.
I believe in books as lenses to see reality in new ways, and in bookshelves as frames for the questions you want answers for. Meaning: I read way more than I probably should (if the notion of how much I should read makes any sense, which it doesn't).
My mood in the morning improves considerably after singing a few songs (in or out of the shower). Recent studies show caffeine and sugar also help.
If you find yourself nodding and smiling while you read this, don't hesitate. Take another sip of that large coffee of yours and drop me a line, or a few.
UPDATE: After 4 amazing years living in Brooklyn, I'm back to Manhattan! On the upper East side / East Harlem side of it, to be more precise. We can explore if there are any good spots for dancing or singing around the area, let me know ;)
