My self-summary
I love to laugh and love to make other people laugh. But more importantly, I love to make people happy. One of my best friends tells me that one of my best qualities is how I always make a great effort to make sure his friends are happy. She told me I was the type who would "make a girl feel she was the most important one in the world. I found that very flattering. I'm also known for being very much into the Beatles and movies. I sang backup for Paul McCartney on one of his albums (no lie!), and I'm a film reviewer with my own blog. What kind of films do I like? Good ones, no matter what the era or genre. That's me in a nutshell!

From My Facebook Profile:
I'm a Dayton, Ohio resident and movie buff who writes film reviews for his very own blog as the somewhat well known Sir Critic. I'm also well known as a Beatlemaniac who sings backup on one of Paul McCartney's albums. (Honest Injun!)

I am generous, steadfast, and devoted.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a newspaper reporter who covers arts and entertainment for Butler and Warren counties in Southwest Ohio.
I’m really good at
Writing, listening to others when they have problems, and at any and all things to do with movies. I also have a penchant for good recall and being off the beaten path.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly, it's probably the way I walk. I shuffle. I have a mild case of cerebral palsy. I think it's best that I'm up front about this. That makes it a little hard for me to walk long distances, stand for a long time and such ... but cerebral palsy does not prevent me from being a good friend ... or better. Once people get past that, they tend to notice my goofy sense of humor. I'm always up for lightening the mood.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Grapes of Wrath, almost anything to do with movies, James Bond novels.

Music: The Beatles more than anyone else. I tend to gravitate to oldies/classic rock, but I can be eclectic.

Movies: This is ALL over the map. My three favorites are "Citizen Kane," "A Hard Day's Night" and "Vertigo." I could go on forever tho.

From My Facebook Profile:

Books: The Grapes of Wrath, Hitchcock/Truffaut, Awake in the Dark, Bonfire Of The Vanities.

Movies: Oh Lord, where do I START? Here's my top 10:

1. Vertigo
2. A Hard Day's Night
3. Citizen Kane
4. Singin' in the Rain
5. 2001: A Space Odyssey
6. Raging Bull
7. Pinocchio
8. The Wizard of Oz
9. City Lights
10. Schindler's List.

TV Shows: Not really a TV ceature. If I'm watching TV, I'm watching movies!.

Music: My taste is pretty eclectic, but I tend to like older stuff, especially classic 60s rock.

The six things I could never do without
Movies, as you've probably guessed by now. But I especially don't like to do without people. I've decided being by myself has gotten dull, so I want to change that. Why else would I be here?

Yes, I know that's only two, but those are the two that are most important.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, my job, and trying to meet new people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Actually, I'm NOT seeing a movie then, because I like to avoid the hordes. I'm more likely to watch a movie at home! ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Because of my CP, dating has been very difficult for me. I know it will "scare" some people away. But I hope people will look past that and focus on what really matters.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 27–42
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
If you love the Beatles or movies, if you want a new friend who can be refreshingly different, if you at times like a shoulder to lean on, and who knows ... maybe more!
