My Self-Summary
I'm relatively new to the city and this site and am interested in
meeting someone who doesn't mind showing a newcomer around the
city...or is also new and would like to explore with me!
I am a very social person and try my best to keep up with friends, here and abroad. I like to be around people who challenge me intellectually and aren't afraid to disagree. That's not to say I enjoy fighting, I just value a healthy debate.
I am a huge fan of the arts, although I don't see enough shows, films, concerts, etc. I look to friends and family to let me know what is new and always like finding a new place to hang out.

What I’m doing with my life
I am currently a grad student, in the process of getting my
masters.
I just moved to New York, so some of my favorite places include Coney Island-especially Brighton Beach. If you have a love of Russian food, or are just interested, let me know! I can walk you through the finer art of Russian dining!
I love Central Park and Riverside Park. I enjoy going to the boroughs and exploring and recently have fallen in love with the East Village!

Meeting people, watching movies, shameless self-promotion. I have
no idea, I like languages and speak a few terribly. I really do
love meeting people and I can make a mean bowl of spaghetti!

I like indie rock, but never keep up with new artists. I have
schizophrenic tastes in music actually, so really anything except
Chinese pop music will fit the bill.
I have a few shows I love right now (am a huge Netflix fan!) 30 Rock and Mad Men. I don't think we can go out if you don't like one of these shows-The Office, Six Feet Under and Arrested Development.
I am reading a ton of stuff for grad school, none of it is of note for here. This summer I read some of Jhumpa Lahiri, Malcomb Gladwell and David Sedaris-those are probably some my favorite authors right now. But I am always looking for new reads!

Debate. Even if I agree with you I can't help playing devil's advocate. My friends hate this about me but I blame my mother.
Pillows. My bed usually has at least 3 pillows. I just like to have comfort and options.
