My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
~~~ Sto visitando Italia per il prossimo mese....and back now. ~~~
I took a little break from this site, but now I'm back. Hoping to make a meaningful connection with someone incredible.. so here goes...
I'm friendly and down-to-earth, with some quirks of course, and a whimsical sense of humor. I care about savoring the little things in life, following dreams (although I do occasionally dream in Excel), and making the world a better place. I have my goofy side and my serious side. And for us nerdy people, I'm an INTP.
I am fond of:
- books & movies
- traveling & hiking
- friends & family
- intellectual curiosity & playful banter
This is pretty basic stuff of course, but it's probably best to leave the in-depth Freudian explorations for a more multi-dimensional setting. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Riding my new 40-year-old bike around town. Playing soccer and board games on weekends with a group of friends. (Since it's been too freezing for soccer, I recently joined a gym.) Reading a lot, and watching some quality shows.
Getting my fledgling business to cover more than rent and pretzels. (Edit: Mission accomplished.) I started it a couple of years ago, after finishing up grad school at the University of Chicago, and now I do finance and strategy-related stuff to help entrepreneurs improve the world.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
random facts, creative ideas, reading, foreign languages, Scrabble, and staying thin at 700,000,000 mph (..was that too esoteric? I do that.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm introverted, which can make me seem a bit shy when initially meeting someone. Then again, I also have many outgoing moments that lead me to strike up conversations with random strangers about their book, gigantic camera, and why they're walking a pig on a leash. (Note: this really happened; the pig's name was Beef.) Hmm..I smile a lot when I'm in a happy mood. Items in conversation often remind me of random things that I've read (and I read a lot of random things), so hopefully you enjoy going off on tangents and exploratory adventures. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It really varies. Tonight I'm going to a housewarming party. Last week, I read a book. And over Labor Day weekend, I went hiking in north Georgia for a few days. There were woods, a river, and a waterfall. It was gorgeous. Edit: And most recently, apparently, making myself crepes.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have an unusual way of eating apples.
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are smart, slightly goofy, slightly nerdy, genuine, and affectionate.
I would be thrilled to find someone who has the potential to be both my best friend and the love of my life. However, anyone is welcome to say hi. I can get pretty busy at times, but I do my best to write back. So please feel free to send me a message if you think we'd hit it off.
